Shades of Grey: Part 4

Cujo started to run towards where Sam was while I managed to wiggle free out of Cujo's grasp, so I turned invisible and flew up into the air, but first thing first: make sure Sam is safe and help Danny escape. "Who is that?! That is an awesome outfit." Sam exclaimed looking at the hunter as Danny ran up stating "Don't know, don't care. See the ball boy? Fetch!" Danny threw a small ecto ball far away and Cujo ran after it as Danny told Sam "Sam run before she gets here!" With a quick nod, Sam ran away and Danny landed on the ground.

"Oh man, she's coming I need to hide!" Danny whisper yelled to himself as he looked around. "There's no time, I need to help now," I mutter to myself as I fly towards Danny, turn human and push him into the bushes as he turns human as well. Valerie flies over to where Danny was just standing as she stated:

"No escaping me now, ghost kids!" She took aim but she stopped when she saw me on top of Danny, grasping his shoulders while I kissed him as he rapped his knuckles on the ground. We notice Valerie and began to scream as I shouted at her "Do you mind?!" "Ew gross! Loser love, I always knew you two geeks would end up together!" Valerie flew off as I said, "That sounded like Valerie..." 

I look over to Danny for his opinion to see a smirk on his face and out of instinct I asked "Danny? Danny! You didn't think it was a real kiss did you?" "No! Why? Did you?" He asked in a panic and we both gave each other a sheepish frown. At school the next day Sam and Tuck were trying to get the details about the kiss.

"Wait, you guys kissed?" Sam asked suspiciously while raising an eyebrow. Danny and I immediately got defensive about it as we shouted in unison No! It was a fake out-make out!" Turning to face us Tuck told us "But that still has the words make and out in it, right? Maybe I should try that on...Valerie! Hi." Tucker ran into Val, causing her to drop her books and as he helped pick them up he told us "Okay guys, see ya." All three of us glared at Tuck as we walked a few feet away and watched. "Ghost Hunter's Almanac? Ghost Killing for Dimwits? When did you get so interested in ghosts?" Tucker asked Valerie as she snatched her books away from him saying "When they ruined my life!" 

"You know I happen to know a thing or two about ghosts." Valerie rolled her eyes and began to walk away as she said "Please I'm broke, I'm not stupid."

Tucker started to follow Val as he exclaimed "Seriously! Did you know that Danny's parents are professional ghost hunters and (y/n)'s parents are paranormal researchers? Though all they research are ghosts." Piqued with new interested Valerie started to act sweet to Tuck as she stated "No I didn't know that. Hey Tucker! Do you wanna carry my books for me?" She began to batt her eyes and Tucker fell head over heels as we watched in annoyance.

"Great my best friend has a crush on a ghost hunter." Danny muttered as I chimed in with "That's life." "Wel,l yours and (s/n) life anyway." Sam whispered to Danny with a snicker. It was after school and we had decided to watch the basketball game to try and relax, the key word tried.

 "Danny will you relax?" Sam asked and Danny instantly got on the case. "How can I relax?! That stupid ghost dog could be anywhere and not to mention I have no idea how Valerie became a ghost hunter!" I was about to say something when we heard Tucker, when we turned around we saw Valerie with him. "Hey guys, can we join you?" "No." All three of us stated simultaneously while glaring at the two.

Valerie began to frown, so Tucker forced us to scoot over as he said "Of course we can." Sitting down close to Danny Val told us "So Tucker tells me your parents hunt ghosts Danny and yours research them (y/n)." Visibly angry Danny asks "Did he now? What else did he tell you?" We heard the whistle blow and turned to watch Dash set up to make a three point shot when we heard Cujo bust in barking causing the ball to miss the hoop. Soon Cujo started chasing everyone as they ran with me, Danny and Valerie running off in different directions to go ghost/go hunter. 

When me and Danny flew up to Cujo behind the risers we noticed he was pawing at the ground but became calm once he saw us. Cujo began to paw at the ground again as Danny asked "Your looking for something? What are you looking for?"

"Sam was right ghost dog or not he's still a dog and he's looking for something." I told Danny when a pink goo was shot and hit Cujo sending him flying. We turned around to see Valerie struggling to open her own thermos as she said "Say goodbye ghost kids...ugh come on you stupid thermos!"
