Haeun couldn't help but gaze at them in awe, allowing them to enjoy their moment whilst she was indulged in silence.

Ahhh, when will I ever get true friends who I can rely on? When will I ever be able to live normally without having to do such dangerous shit?

Why was my childhood so difficult? If the circumstances were different, would I also have friendships like this? Would I be happy and loved?

Am I even loved?

"Soojin!" A light tug at the girl's sleeve grabbed her attention, pulling her away from her cloud of thoughts. She was now face to face with Kai who surely looked a bit sad but tried putting up a cheerful face for the girl.

"I hope we didn't make you feel left out...it's just that it's been a while since the three of us were here." He stated calmly.

"Oh, no, it's totally alright. You guys are really close friends so I'm sure the memories you share are quite precious to you all." The assassin said with assurance.

"I'm glad you understand. Thanks." Kai smiled at her, engulfing her in a tiny hug before pulling away. He then made his way towards Taehyun who was standing at the edge of the sandy part of the lake, playing with the sand by drawing shapes on it. Kai and Taehyun were laughing together, doing a bunch of weird shit whilst Haeun noticed Beomgyu was all alone, sitting on the bare sand, looking up at the twinkling stars.

I-is it okay if I sit with him?

Haeun walked over to him either way, gently plopping herself down on the sand next to him. He had his hands crossed behind his head, eyes wide open as he stared at the sky above him.

He looked sad.

She couldn't help but wonder why he was like that. She wanted to know what happened because everyone seemed tense in the castle. The maids never talked to her about the topic nor did Kai so she was left in the dark. As of now, all she gathered was it was mainly because of the king and queen. The queen which Haeun was so interested about since no one really spoke of her.

I need to find out what's wrong with these people and this place. And this pendant...what's it significance? Why is it so valuable?

"Hey.." Haeun started off softly, lying right beside the prince who was still staring up at the sky, unbothered. He didn't answer her but she didn't mind. If it was her past self who only just met him, she would have been a bit mad but after being with him for a little over a month, the girl was slowing understanding his personality. There was still so much to learn about him.

"Hmmmm I'm not sure but do you see those stars that kinda form a 'w'...I think that's Cassiopeia." She pointed up at the constellation of stars, quietly speaking to Beomgyu in a soothing voice. "It symbolizes the queen, Cassiopeia, the mother of Andromeda." She continued softly.

"And the one that looks like a snake...hmm I think it's-"

"It's Draco and it's actually a dragon."

"Oh! Right!" She exclaimed with a light chuckle, giving the prince a thumbs up for his correction. Silence began blanketing them once more as the atmosphere around them tensed up a bit. They had a history of yelling at each other then acting like nothing ever happened between them so it was quite normal for them to be immersed in silence.

"I know it might not be my place to say this but..if something's bothering you, talking to the moon works. No one except you will hear your troubles and concerns and it helps you..you know, it's like a weight is lifted off your chest. It's like free therapy knowing there won't be anyone there to judge what you're desperately trying to express. It helps you feel better.."
