Ano ba, Mimi?? Wala ka dapat pakialam kung gusto nila magdate or what! Relax lang nga kasi.

“You’re going out?” Biglang tanong ni Marvin.

“Ahm..” Hindi makasagot si Valerie. “No. We’re going out as friends. Just like the old times. We’re just friends.” Feeling ko may something eh. Pero ewan. Friends ko sila kaya dapat maging masaya ako para sa kanila.

A week later, may formal lessons na kami. Nasa klase ako ngayon ni sir Amix. Solfeggio ang subject na hawak ni sir Amix sa klase namin. All about notes ang Solfeggio. Pag-aaralan namin ang mga nota at yung iba-ibang pagbasa nito.

Konti lang ang nasa klase namin kasi yung iba nag-drop. Ang sasama naman nung mga taong yun. Magaling naman si sir Amix ha!

Tsk. Pero on the bright side, ok na din ang konting estudyante para konti lang kami,haha. Gets niyo? Kasi pag konti, eh di mas makakafocus kami kasi hindi masyadong magulo ang klase.

Basta yun na yun,haha.

“Alright, class, what is music for you?” Tanong ni sir Amix. What is music nga ba? Music is my life? Music is my air? Music is the food for the soul?

“Yes, Darren.” Classmate ko nga pala si Darren dito. Pero sa may unahan siya nakaupo. Sa may bintana kasi ako umupo para may nakikita ako sa labas,haha.

“Music is the thing that I do and will continue to do for the rest of my life.” Wow, korak! Tama! Perfect!

“Continue to do for the rest of your life. That’s a good answer. That’s the reason why you’re here. For you, Ronnie?” Classmate ko din pala yung Ronnie na yun. Scary nga siya minsan eh. Parang nakakabasa ng utak.

“Hmm, music is my life. It’s the one that makes me know I’m alive. It keeps me going. And it’s something I have dedicated my whole life to.” Claps claps! Ang gagaling mag-English, este, ang gagaling sumagot.

“Music keeps you going. Of course, for musicians, music keeps you going. It’s your life. It’s what you dedicate your whole life to.”

Magrecite din kaya ako? Hmm, wag na nga lang. I’m shy.

“Yes, Mimi?” Too late, nakataas na pala ang kamay ko. Haha.

“Uhm, music makes the world go round. It’s everything that is gentle, calm and represents the heart. It’s something that is genuine. It’s…simply the simplest thing that can lift off a person from the reality to another world. It makes people smile, cry, sleep…but most of all, for me, music heals when there’s no medicine that can do the cure. Music sometimes do the magic..for the heart.”

Biglang nagpalakpakan ang mga people sa classroom. Pang beauty queen ata ang sagot ko eh,haha.

“You’re heart is really in music. Heart and music for you is inseparable. Yes, music is magic. Because when words fail, music speaks. You can tell the people what you really feel even without words, even with music alone. Why? Because music is magic.” Syempre naman, sir! Bravo!

Music is really magic. Magic that anyone can cast. It’s a spell. Once you’re under it, you can never get away from it.

Then, dismissal na. Tamang-tama at gutom na ako. Konti lang kasi kinain ko kaninang breakfast eh.

“Mimi, san ka na?” Tanong ni Darren.

“Sa canteen. Nagugutom na ako eh.”
