*Harry's POV*

Two days later me and Louis are headed to the therapist that Louis' doctor referred us to. Since the accident, our relationship has been quite strained and we seem to argue over the littlest things. We haven't really talked about the accident, so I feel like that's taking a toll on our relationship.

Honestly, I've felt really guilty about what's happened and I know that Louis has told me not to worry and to not feel guilty, but I do. I just can't get it out of my head that maybe if we weren't driving and I hadn't rushed him to get going that we wouldn't have been caught in that accident.

"Haz!" Louis shouted and I was snapped from my thoughts, not taking my eyes off the road. "You okay?"

"Yeah sorry. Just thinking." I soon pulled into the parking lot of the therapist's office. I helped Louis into his chair from the car and we made our way to the front door. I held the door open for him as he wheeled himself inside. I grabbed his hand and basically pulled him to where the elevator is. We got in, pressed the button to the 2nd floor and sat in silence the whole way up, still holding hands. Louis got settled in the waiting room once we got off the elevator, while I checked us in. We waited about 15 minutes until the therapist called us back into the room.

"Hi I'm Dr. Tina, but you can call me Dr. T." She shook both of our hands before sitting back at her desk, while I sat on the couch and Louis sat in his chair. "Louis would it be more comfortable for you to sit on the couch?"

"Yeah probably. Haz?" I nodded and helped him get settled on the couch, before turning our attention back to Dr. T.

"Okay good." She smiled and got out her clipboard. "So I am a licensed relationship therapist, but I special in cases involving medical accidents or things like PTSD. I understand you both were in a drunk driving accident about a month ago, and it's clearly taken a toll on your life, correct?" She asked, gesturing toward Louis's chair.

"Umm yes it very much has." I said and Louis nodded.

"Good." She cleared her throat before continuing. "Louis was in the hospital for about a month doing heavy rehabilitation before he was sent home, right?" Louis nodded. "Okay. And how are things for you guys in terms of adjusting to a new home life with Louis' wheelchair? Louis how about you start."

"I guess it's been good. I mean it's a big change. Going from being able to get up and walk and shower without help to being almost completely dependent on Harry is just weird. I'm working on getting dressed and getting out of bed by myself, but it's definitely hard. But I want to try." He said and I looked over at him. I think this accident has taken a bigger toll on me mentally.

"That's good. I'm glad you are working towards goals for independence. I want you to keep making new goals. I recommend working on getting dressed independently first, then maybe transferring yourself to your chair and then you can work on bigger things, like making yourself breakfast or showering on your own. Things like that." Louis nodded and smiled. "Okay, now Harry. How are you adjusting?"

"I don't know." I shrugged. "I just feel like we as a couple are disconnected. I love him of course, but I feel like now that I'm not only his boyfriend, but his caregiver full time, it just makes our relationship have bigger hardships and it just seems really hard."

"Yes I see this a lot with cases like these. The partner that ends up having to take care of the injured one, seems to take the accident to heart and they feel like they can't do anything except take care of them 24/7. This is why we want Louis to keep working so that he can be somewhat independent, so that you don't have to worry and plan around getting him up and showered and cared for. I think-" I cut her off.
