This will be the second chapter this month.

The site will be changing again next month, and it will likely be on weekends and holidays again. I think the pace of posting will be in line with that.

Day 16 Month 5 Year 380 World Calendar

Elmeris Kingdom, Port City Alfroy

Two days after the contact with Delity and her group, there was a commotion in the port city of Alfroy in the Elmeris Kingdom (as mentioned previously, around Burketown in the old world), as if a beehive had been poked, both in the public and private sectors.

"What is that!?"

"That's... is that a ship!?"

"Impossible! It looks like a small island!!"

Elves, dark elves, dwarves, mammalian beastmen, avian beastmen, and in the water of the harbor, the fish people were looking at the Japanese ships with their mouths open. It seemed that their country's warships were accompanying them, but the difference in size was so great that it even looked as if they were the ones being escorted. It was like an adult and a kid—no, a baby.

"Our military's ships look like toys... have you ever seen a ship like that?"

"Where the hell did those ships come from in the first place?"

The three giant ships entered the harbor in a splendid formation and slowly came to a halt. From the looks of the harbor, the size of the large ships even seemed rather 'just right.' After confirming the location, the Edo's door opened and slowly lowered the ramp, which also seemed to fit perfectly, as if by design.

Muto watched from above the smooth descent of the Light Armored Vehicle down the ramp and was surprised at how easily it had been able to berth.

"Amazing... as if it was built from the beginning to be able to fit a ship this large..."

In this harbor, not only the Yamato, one of the largest combat destroyers, but even an aircraft carrier like the Akagi, which is over 300 meters long, would be able to dock there. Even if it did dock, however, it would be difficult to load and unload cargo because of the lack of gantry cranes.

"As the Lieutenant Colonel said, it may be a legacy of the ancient civilization, Muto."

"I suppose so. It doesn't fit with any visible civilization at all when the Azuchi can dock normally."

Muto held a MINIMI but does not have his finger on the trigger. He is showing that he has no hostile intentions by uncovering the lead High-Mobility Vehicle and carrying Delity and the others. Thanks to this, people around them stared from a distance, but their priority seemed to be surprised, and there was hardly any sign of hostility.

Many of you have wondered why a survey team consisting of a supply ship and amphibious assault ships would be so impressive. However, there were neither the naval vessels nor the manpower to turn them around. It was a desperate measure. The Tazawa-class supply ships were armed for 'self-defense,' so they were relying on it for the most part. The F-3Bs aboard the Azuchi and the three helicopters aboard the Edo were the rest of the forces that could respond immediately.

Delity spoke to Sergeant First Class Nakamura, who was driving the HMV.

"If you go up the river from the port, you can reach the capital. This 'automobile' will get us there in three days."
