The ball (y1)

I woke up at 7:30 as per norm but this time my list was shorter because narcissa hired people to help prepare and serve at the ball and because I think she thinks we need that much time to get ready. I done breakfast and then polished , wiped , waxed and swept most the rooms , which was basically all my chores .

Now I have to go to narcissas room to get ready , she's really excited

Around 6:00 party starts at 7:00

I knocked on the door and waited for her to open it .

" y/n is that you ?come in "

I pushed the door open to see narcissa hanging my dress onto a wardrobe ,whilst already dressed in her dark green dress.

" y/n why don't you go into the bathroom and start getting changed and I'll do my hair" she said as she passed me my dress

" ok " I barely uttered before she nudged me into the bathroom with my dress

I took off my clothes and folded them on the side , then I put on the dress . For some reason I just felt weird in the dress like we didn't go together .

" y/n are you done yet?"

"Yeah I'll be right out " I said as I opened the bathroom door

" what do you think ?" Narcissa asked flicking her wand ,which switched her hair style from from A bun to a half up half down hair style .

" half up half down " I said with an assuring tone

" let's do yours , do you have any styles in mind ?"

"Uhh no , none that I can think of . Do you have any ideas?" I asked not really bothered about the turn out of my hair .

She moved her wand making two bits of hair on either side of my head plait itself then meet at the back.

" how about that ? "

"Perfect . thank you " I thought it was kind of sweet how much effort she put in to getting me ready for the party - she even put a bit makeup on me me.

By the time we finished it was 7:00 and people were arriving .

" y/n why don't you go to your room and Draco will come get you when he's dressed and you can both go to the party together ?"

" ok , but I don't mind meeting him there if that's easier ?"

"No no don't worry , now you go wait in your bedroom he'll be there soon "

In malfoys guest room / you're temporary bedroom.

As soon as I got to my bedroom and sat on my bed there was a loud banging at the door . Draco probably I thought and I was correct

" mother insists I give this to you because you've been doing what we're paying you to do" he said with a confused sarcastic tone

"Uhh thank you " I replied unsure of what to say . It was a corsage , which I think is normally for dates but I tried not to over think it

We walked down stairs to the already crowded party , I could feel people glaring at us causing my cheeks to go red. I spotted my mother in the crowd talking to some friends and I started to walk towards but was stopped right before I tapped her by Draco

"Were suppose to stay together"he said in a hush but irritated voice

" I was just going to say hi to my mum can't you survive a minute by yourself"
there was a silent pause during which I heard my mum laughing with her friends

" you're lucky pansy got into slytherin , my daughter got into to gryffindor of all houses , I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out like Sirius and ends up in askaban for merlin knows what " I overheard my mum say to her group of sniggering friends

" at least if she gets into askaban we won't have to deal with her " she added causing another round of chuckles

I pulled away from my mother and walked towards the drinks with malfoy trotting behind me not realising I had walked away .

" I told you we're suppose to stick together "

" fine what do you want to do?"
Before he could answer narcissa came over

" you two look so cute all dressed up together . I have to take a photo "she said with her magical camera in her hand

" cheese " she said forcing me to put on a fake smile for her

" aww thats nice . One more , how about a little kiss on the check " she quickly muttered to Draco causing him to take me by surprise and make my cheeks flush again and my jaw drop . You can see my surprise in the photo, which she went round showing to everyone saying "young love " .

Me and Draco danced for the last hour , using the steps narcissa taught us the other day, then I went bed . The highlight of my evening . Being left alone by them , although I would've enjoyed some company from Ginny , hopefully I'll get to see her before the holiday ends .

Sorry this is so long I also write this very late , hopefully the next chapter will be better
