Leigh

I wait in the most uncomfortable state, my tears drying on my cheek, my shirt all wet, my hands shaking and the sound of the clock ticking above me.

For 15 minutes I've been waiting in worry outside the ER waiting for what the Doctor had.

But after a few nurses and patients that came out, the person I've been dying to see arrived.

"Mrs. Pinnock."

I lifted myself from the plastic chair and gave a smile "Yes ugh Doc how how is she and what happened exactly?"

"I heard you two were blessed with a child?" he smiled.

I stayed silent for a few moments and answered, "Yeah." I nod.

"I hate having to be the person to say this," he started, my tears ready to fall down my face "but I'm sorry."

Streams of water left my eyes and rolled down my face.

"She's gone. I'm really really sorry. No one deserves this and with the many miscarriages I've experience working here.. I know the feeling."

"It's ok," I cry "it's not your fault," I say "but where's Perrie?" I ask.

"She's inside," he sighed "she like every mother wouldn't really want to hear those few words and she didn't take it very easy. The nurses are getting her calmed down."

I nodded, "Oh ok."
