I watched his smile falter when I said that we were out of time.

"No one actually sells that and we don't have time to put it together. So, how about Beetlejuice and Lydia?"

I held out a black and white striped suit for him to inspect, while holding out a flowy red dress for myself.

He pursed his lips, checking out the suit.

"I don't know. Whatever you want is fine, I guess."

I should've never mentioned the Sora idea. Damn it. I put the dress and suit back on the rack, and kept looking through what they had.

"What are you doing?" He asked, watching me with a confused expression.

"Looking to see if they have anything we can use for the Sora and Kairi costumes." I said distractedly, pushing outfit after outfit to the side.

"You don't have to. I mean, I really like the idea, but there's no point in going all out this late. Let's just get the Beetlejuice costumes." He replied.

I shook my head. I wanted to see that smile again so I was going to do my damnedest to try and find something to make these costumes work. They shouldn't be too hard if we just hurried.

I saw Colby out of the corner of my eye, still just watching me.

"You gonna stand there, or you gonna help me look?" I asked, before throwing my hands up in defeat. "There's nothing here for that. Let me look in the accessories. We'll have to find the clothes somewhere else." Not waiting for an answer, I took off towards the miscellaneous items that they had up towards the front of the store. "Yes!" I yelled, as I snatched up a pair of white gloves, and tossed them to Colby.

He caught them automatically, and looked down at them.

"Those are perfect for your costume." I said, and kept looking. "Blue belt." I muttered, grabbing it, and throwing it to Colby too. "See if it fits."

I didn't really need any accessories for mine. Mine would be easy. I grabbed a black cord necklace, a thick silver chain, and then started digging through the charms that were beside the cords.

"What...are you looking for?" Colby asked.

"Looking for a...here we go." I said, pulling up a tiny silver crown, and a larger one.

"Oh, those are actually perfect." He said, a smile curving his lips.

There we go. I knew I had to do this.

I pulled out my phone and texted Kat really quick.

"brb going to find the rest of our costumes."

I grabbed Colby's arm and pulled him from the shop. We went to a clothing store nearby so that I could get the rest of what we needed. My costume consisted of a black thick strap tank, with a white tank top underneath, purple mini skirt, dark purple belt, and purple and white high tops, with the crown necklace.

Bam, I was finished. Colby's included a red t-shirt, long red shorts, a black hoodie with white sleeves, and yellow high tops. It didn't take too long since I knew exactly what I was looking for and we were lucky enough that the store had everything.

That never happened. Guess the universe was working with me for once. Colby carried all of our bags back to the car, and we went to pick up Sam and Kat.

They were outside the store waiting on us. Colby got out and opened the trunk. He and Sam piled the bags into it, while Kat got in the car.

"So what did you end up getting?" I asked, turning around in the seat to see her.

She grinned and rolled her eyes a little.

"Victor and Emilie from the Corpse Bride."

I squealed. "Oh my God, that's perfect! You guys are going to look so GOOD!"

She laughed, as the boys got in the car. "What did you guys end up getting? You couldn't find what you wanted at this store?"

I shook my head. "No, we're going homemade this time. Sora and Kairi from Kingdom Hearts."

"Oh that's so cute! You love Kingdom Hearts!"

I nodded, and smiled while I caught Sam's eyes. His mouth had fallen open a little, and his eyes grew wide.

"Wow, really?" He asked.

"Yes really." Colby said, glancing at him in the rearview.

"Huh...well, if I didn't already know that she was your One, then this would be the moment that it became VERY clear."

I laughed, and glanced over to Colby who was rolling his eyes. He had that big beautiful grin on his face though. The one that I was working so hard to put there.

"We've only got a couple hours left before the Hayride starts. Don't wanna be too late. It's going to be busy. We need to hurry." Colby said as we pulled into the driveway of the large house.

We grabbed our bags and headed inside.

"You guys aren't ready yet?! What the fuck?! Hurry up!" Tara almost met us at the door, screeching at us.

"You look so good!" I exclaimed, as Jake walked up beside her.

She was dressed as Freddy Krueger (the sexiest one that I had ever seen) and Jake was dressed as Jason, only with his own little spin to it, combining a Jason tee along with the mask and knife.

"I know." She said smiling, and tossing her hair to the side.

We passed Corey and Dev on the way upstairs.

"You guys aren't ready yet?"

"NO! We're hurrying!" Kat and I exclaimed together.

"You look cute though!" I yelled as we ran by them.

They were dressed as Barbarian warriors and looked pretty damn hot. Kat and I got dressed in Sam's room, while the guys got dressed in Colby's room. We wanted the first impression of the costume to be a surprise, I guess.

I zipped up Kat's short white wedding dress, and turned her around to face me.

"Okay, you're gorgeous!"

She blushed, making her paler than normal cheeks flush with color.

There was a light knocking on the door just then.

"Come in."

Sam opened the door, his eyes going straight to Kat. "Oh." He said, his eyes going wide.
