Lisa lay on the bed and fell asleep in a daze.

As the following day was a rest day, Lisa set off early in the morning to go to the location of Chanwoo that the system had found.

Through the system's prompt, Lisa arrived at a nursing home not far from the city.

In her previous life, Lisa and Chanwoo met at the park in the middle of the street.

Lisa had not expected that Chanwoo was living in a sanatorium.

When she walked into the sanatorium, she was greeted by a smelly smell.

Lisa covered her mouth and nose in discomfort, trying to get rid of this smell.

During this period, the sanatorium had not been upgraded to a level where everyone could enjoy their lives.

This place was now a place where the elderly and the orphaned lived.

One could imagine the living conditions.

Lisa walked in and wanted to ask a staff member, but she realized that there wasn't any.

Lisa had no choice but to walk in alone and search room by room.

Many of these elderly were bedridden and looked very pitiful.

Lisa walked past one by one and finally saw Chanwoo in a room near the end.

At this moment, Chanwoo was leaning against the window frame with a book in his hand. He was reading to the old man sharing the same room.

He was wearing the clothes from the sanatorium. His clothes, which had been washed until they became white, looked very refreshing on him.

Lisa quietly listened to Chanwoo reading the book. His voice made people feel as if they were bathed in the spring breeze.

Lisa was a little infatuated with his voice, and she was also a little dazed when she looked at Chanwoo.

Chanwoo finished reading a chapter and closed the book. He found the girl standing at the door.

He looked at her in surprise with a confused expression on his face.

Lisa suddenly realized that she had lost her composure. She smiled apologetically at Chanwoo.

Chanwoo nodded at Lisa and walked over. "Excuse me, what's the matter?"

Lisa looked at Chanwoo as if she was confirming something from his face.

Chanwoo was a little embarrassed by her gaze and his face turned slightly red. "May I ask... Do you know me?"

Lisa thought for a moment before saying, "I like your voice when you're reading."

Chanwoo's face turned even redder when Lisa said that. "Then... then you can come over more often when you have time."

Lisa nodded and immediately said to Chanwoo, "Can you accompany me for a walk?"

Chanwoo hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Wait for me for a moment."

Chanwoo walked back to the bed and kept the books by the table. Then, he walked toward Lisa. "Let's go!"

Lisa followed Chanwoo to the open space outside the building.

This sanatorium was located in the suburbs. There were some farmhouses and fields around it. The conditions were not good, but the environment was not bad.

Lisa walked a few steps and said to Chanwoo, "When did you move in here?"

Chanwoo thought for a moment and said, "When I was about 14 years old."

"It has been five years now," Chanwoo said with a bitter smile on his face.

"Why are you here?" Chanwoo looked at Lisa curiously.

Lisa stood still and looked back at Chanwoo. "I'm looking for a friend."

"Have you found your friend?" Chanwoo asked curiously.

"Besides me, the rest seemed to be some grandparents here. Maybe your friend doesn't live here," Chanwoo said with some awkwardness.

"Maybe," Lisa said with a half-truth.

"Haven't you thought about leaving this place?" Lisa looked at Chanwoo and asked.

Chanwoo shook his head and said, "I'm waiting for someone."

"Waiting for someone?" Lisa raised her eyebrows.

"Yes! She said that she would come and pick me up." Chanwoo revealed a bitter smile. "So, I'm waiting for her to come and pick me up."

"If she doesn't want to pick you up, are you going to wait for her for the rest of your life?" Lisa stared at Chanwoo and asked.

Chanwoo nodded at Lisa. "Yes! I'll wait forever!"

Lisa looked at Chanwoo and wanted to say something, but she thought about it and gave up.
