Life continues as it should. The sun shines with all its splendor and the village bustles with life, and shinobi and civilians alike return to their daily duties. The time for mourning has passed, and Aya knows this too well.

Just like the other mornings, she's forced awake by Ao mewling and clawing at her face for her breakfast, and with a groan she shoves the blasted cat off. The mischievous beast only meows in satisfaction and leaves for the kitchen as her master sits up, the covers falling off her tired figure.

She could choose to ignore her, as she'd done to the others that came to visit, but then decides that morning breath is too much even for her. Her feet treads lightly against the wooden floors and she locks herself in the bathroom, and Ao has to shriek in order for her to leave. When she does, a towel is wrapped around her and she's feeling refreshed, though she does spare a half-hearted glare at the growling animal.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" She snaps, gently prodding her with her feet and returning to her room. A minute later she exits wearing her typical attire, adjusting her headband into her belt and finishing the last (albeit only) braid on her hair. Ao mewls again and she stops her hair-meddling to stare at the cat. "Yes, yes, I know you little pest. At least let me feel comfy."

Ao only stares, and she sighs.

"Alright, let's go then."

She makes an omelet for breakfast, promising herself to eat the leftover ramen Naruto had brought over for dinner. Ao, the picky little thing, insists on sharing her meal, so she only eats half before the blasted cat takes over.

"I'll be going then," she calls out to the cat while adjusting the straps of her sandals. Just before she closes the door behind her, she yells, "If anything breaks I'm feeding you sticks for the rest of the week! Bye Ao!!"

And the door slams shut.

And the door slams shut
