Snow White had encountered all kinds of madness inside this mansion, pero posible ba talagang mayroong ganoong lugar dito? Pero agad ring nawala ang pag-aalinlangan ni Snow nang mapansin niyang seryoso si Greed. She took in a deep breath and reminded herself that everything inside this mansion defies the laws of physics.

Wala namang mawawala kung sasama siya, hindi ba?

She smiled. "Well, if you insist. Paano ba tayo pupunta roon? Saan tayo dadaan?"

Nag-aalala pa rin si Snow na baka mamaya ay magising pa ang iba pang mga kasalanan. She doesn't think she can handle their craziness at this early in the morning. Baka tuluyan na siyang magpa-confine sa Eastwood Asylum.

"Paano tayo pupunta sa isla mo, Greed?" Ulit na tanong ni Snow nang hindi sumagot ang kasalanan.

"You're sitting on it, mademoiselle."

Napanganga si Snow sa sinabi ng binata. Hindi naman siya nagkamali ng dinig, 'di ba?

"Um.. sa sopa?"

"Yes."

Mas malala yata ang saltik sa ulo ni Greed kaysa sa mga kapatid niya. Snow White made another mental note to ask Pride if his brother's mentally ill. Baka nasosobrahan na ng ginto at kasakiman. Snow White laughed dryly, "Hahaha! Greed, imposible 'yan."

"Really?" He challenged, "What if I can make you believe the unbelievable, Snow?"

Marahang tumabi sa kanya si Greed. Hindi pa rin nawawala ang ngiti sa mga labi niya. He eyed her as if she was the most precious gem in this world. His prince-like features was only emphasized by the soft glow of the nearby lamp. 'He really does look like a fairytale prince.'

Snow White doesn't give a damn about looks, but she has to admit---the sins are quite attractive.

'But they're all a different shade of madness.'

"Do you trust me, mademoiselle?"

Trust.

Matagal-tagal na rin bago niya ulit natutunan ang salitang 'yan. In the end, Snow White nodded. "I trust you, Greed. All of you..."

'Even with my life'.

Ngumiti si Greed at inabot ang lampara sa harapan nila. He raised it  between them and grabbed Snow's hand. Habang nakahawak ang isang kamay ni Greed sa kamay niya, hindi maiwasang magtaka si Snow sa gagawin ng prinsipe. The faint glow of the lamp was between them when she mustered up the courage to ask, "Paano ba talaga tayo pupunta sa special place mo?"

"You'll find out soon. Just be patient, mademoiselle, and close your eyes when the lights go out."

Tumango si Snow. 'Bahala na.'

And as the first streaks of sunlight broke through the dark horizon beyond, the fire of the land between them flickered until it died. Kasabay nito ay ang pagbalot ng kadiliman sa private study ni Pride. Marahang ipinikit ni Snow ang kanyang mga mata at hinayaang pisilin ni Greed ang kanyang kamay. The warmth of his hand was enough to make her feel safe.

Ilang sandali pa, nakarinig siya ng kakaibang tunog.

It sounded like waves.

"Open your eyes, my mademoiselle."

Nang buksan ni Snow ang kanyang mga mata, una niyang napansin ang nakangiting si Greed. 'Magkamukha talaga sila ni Envy..' Though sometimes, she forgets they're actually twins. Magkaibang 'di hamak ang ugali nila at kung paano sila makitungo sa dalaga.
