However our moment was short lived by a knock coming from the door behind me.

I quickly fixed my dress and moved out of the way, so Jamie could see who the person was.

He opened to find Luke standing there out of breath. "What do you need?" Jamie said while pulling him into his sitting room.

I poured some water into a glass that was on a table near where the two men stood.

After giving it to Luke he thanked me, then began to speak. "Since your talk with the king was interrupted... He would like you to join him in his office."

"Must I go now? Or can this talk wait?" Jamie asked while he rubbed his face.

"He said now would be best." Luke said while opening the door.

Before he left he thanked me again for the water then left. Leaving me and Jamie alone once again.

"I must be off." He said while placing his jacket on his body. He placed a gentle kiss upon the stop of my head, then left out of the door. Leaving me in a state of confusion.

As I made my way back to my chambers I couldn't help but wonder what type of business was so urgent.

More importantly why I couldn't join. I pushed all my thoughts aside once I was back in my closet.

I let my dress fall from my body and gently placed it on the chair by my vanity.

After placing my nightgown on, I decided to lay in bed while I waited for Jamie to return from his meeting with my father.

Jamie's POV

After leaving Charlotte in my chambers I made my way towards Lord Henry's office. Once I arrived I noticed the Queen was sitting in a chair beside him.

"I am pleased you could make it, Lord James. Now I know from our little interaction, you would like to tell me what happened on your journey."

The King said while gesturing for me to sit in a seat that was across from the two of them.

"Yes, well a lot happened on that terrible journey to the Scollfyd kingdom. However, I must tell you what I learned from my time there." I said

"Please go on." The Queen said as she shifted in her seat.

I couldn't help but notice how she seemed to already know the danger she would face, after I spoke of my journey.

"I shall spare you both the details of everything that happened on my journey. However I would like to warn you both, that you are in much danger." I quickly stopped talking as I saw a kitchen maid enter with some tea.

"Oh thank you Lilly. Please leave the tray on the table for us." The Queen said as she motioned where to palace the tea. The kitchen maid obayed and made her way swiftly out of the large office.

"You may continue now." The King said while taking a sip of tea.

"Indeed. While I was there King Franklin tried to talk me into taking his side." I said while pouring myself  a cup of tea.

"His side of what, may I ask?" The Queen said as she too poured herself a cup.

"He wants to take over this kingdom. He is planning to kill both of you and your daughter. He wanted me to be on his side to have more followers after he planned your family's murdder. The King claimed that my father's support would be greatly needed after what is to come."

"I see, now what do you get inreturn for all of this?" The king asked while placing his cup onto the table in front of us.

"He would give me some of your land and other things that would benefit my kingdom. His goal was for me to return and become one of his spies. To give him word on when the right monet would be to strike." I paused for them to fully understand what I was telling them.

"However a spy gave word that you shall be less on your guard at Charlotte's coronation." I said while staring at the king.

His eyes fell from mine and towards his wife. "I believe the time has finally come my dear." The queen said while placing her hand upon the King's face.
