After I found Adeline and told her of my plan she was thrilled to see Jamie. "My lady, it is time to go to the stables." My lady's maid said while helping us with our bags.
Once we arrived I found a very surprised Jamie standing by a horse. "What have you done?" He asked while walking towards us.
"Adleine reminded me that I shouldn't let you leave so easily. So We are coming with you." I said while giving my bags to a stable boy to fasten to the carriage.
"I suppose you both will be riding in this carriage." He said while pointing.
"Not just us. King James." Adleine said as she winked once she said his proper name.
After a few moments of arguing he finally agreed to us joining him to his kingdom. He placed his hand out and helped us into the carriage before climbing in himself.
We sat in silence as the horses began to take off leading us further away from the palace. I couldn't help but look out the window and breathe a sigh of relief.
"We shouldnt return." My inner wolf said. "Just because we have Jamie and Adeline at our sides doesn't mean we can abandon our kingdom."
I said in response to my wolf. Adeline was the first to break the silence in the carriage as she began to speak.
"What shall I call you?" She said while looking towards Jamie. He was gazing out the window when her question took him by surprise.
"You can call me anything you like. Your mother calls me Jamie instead of James." He said while gesturing towards me.
"He is your father. That is what you shall call him in private." I said while patting my dress and gazed out of the window.
"Charlotte, she may call me whatever feels natural. I won't be offended by either." He said while winking at Adeline.
"May I sit by you? She asked while pointing to the open seat next to Jamie. "Yes you can." He said while giggling as if she didn't have to ask in the first place.
"Your mother has taught you great manners." He said while poking me in the leg. Making me quickly turn towards them.
Around Lunch time we stopped and ate by a nearby garden. Once we were done we made sure that our dinner was inside the carriage so we didn't have to stop until around noon tomorrow.
After a few hours of traveling I laid my head apon a pillow and fell asleep.When I awoke the sun had gone down and all that was left was night.
I couldn't help but smile when I noticed Jamie and Adeline snuggled up together taking a nap. Then Jmaie began to speak, making me jump.
"I feel your eyes upon me." He mumbled in a whispered voice not to wake Adeline.
"My apologies." I said while smiling towards the sight of the two of them. He carefully got up and placed Adeline down upon a pillow before sitting next to me.
"I am glad you decided to come along. However I still am scared of what might happen if I break out of the heavy chains. What if I come after you? Or even worse Adeline."
He said while grabbing a hold of my hand. I pondered over what he had just said while looking at Adeline.
I hadn't thought of that aspect of this adventure quite yet. "I believe in my heart that you would never hurt us." I said while placing my hand upon his cheek.
He missed his head within my hand and looked towards me. Then without any hesitation I placed a heartfelt kiss upon his soft lips.
He quickly pulled away, leaving me in a state of confusion. "I must earn your trust back. However, if I could, I would take you right now. But I am a man of my word."
He said then looked away towards the window. For the next hour we both stayed silent.
