[REQUESTED] Waves by the seashore - Tree x Pen

im going to a beach this summer and i got this idea in my head while i was staying at my aunt's house for a few hours💀

                                               Tree's POV

It was a hot summer day, and I was sitting on a bench with some of the Death P.A.C.T members.

We were silently eating popsicles, until Pen spoke.

"Guys I have an idea!" He said.

"What is it, Pen?" I said.

"We should all go to the beach!" 

"I love the beach!" Bottle shouted.

"That's the spirit! What do you think, Tree and Liy?"

"It sure is hot, so I'll also tag along." Liy said.

"I agree." I said.

"Well come on guys! Let's go to the beach!!" Pen shouted.

"Yeah!" Liy shouted.

We hopped into my car and drove to the beach. (yes, i hc tree has a car, don't ask💀)

Once we arrived, Bottle ran down to the beach with Liy following her.

Me and Pen were still in the car, unpacking our stuff.

"Thanks for helping me, Pen." I said.

"No problem! Anything for you and the team!" 

Pen is the kind of person who helps out, even in bad situations. I owe him for that.

I responded with a smile and continued to set up the umbrellas. 

Some other contestants from other teams were also here, the beach really is popular huh?

"Hey Tree! I'm done unpacking the tables and the food!"

"Good, you can go with Bottle and Liy, if you want of course."

"I'll be over there building sandcastles if you want to join me!" "Bye Tree!!" He shouted.

After I was done, I headed off with the others.

I saw Bottle just splashing around with Liy, and found Pen running back and forth to make a hole with water inside, like a small river.

"What are you doing Pen?" I ask.

"Ooh! I'm making a sandcastle with a miniature waterway!"

"That's nice. May I help?"

"Sure!" 

I helped Pen with his little "sandcastle" thing. I must admit he's actually pretty fun to be around.

And I really like him for that.

"And seashells for the final touch!" He said.

"You're really good at building sandcastles Pen!"

"Oh! Thank you!"

"Wanna go into the water? I mean, if you want too of course." He said.

"Sure. I'll bring the pool noodles."

"Awesome!" 

I left the shore and grabbed the pool noodles nearby my car.

I ran back and jumped into the water where Pen was.

"Tree! You're here!" He said with a smile.

He's really cute when he's happy.

Pen splashed water in my face and I got back at him by gently hitting him with the pool noodle.

"Haha!" He laughed.

He continued to splash water in my face and we had a good time playing with each other.

"Let's invite the others if they want to play Marco polo!" He said.

"Fine with me." I replied.

We got Bottle and Liy to come with us and Bottle volunteered to be "it".

"Marco!"

"Polo!!" We shout in unison.

I saw Bottle get closer to Pen and he was tagged.

"Aw man!" He said.

We continued playing until we got tired and bored, and we headed back to our little spot on the sand.

I passed out sandwiches and watermelon to everyone.

"Wow! These taste really good!" Liy exclaimed.

"I love watermelon!!" Bottle said.

I smiled at the scene. I wonder what our other teammates are doing.

                                Pen's POV


After we were done eating, Bottle went to collect seashells and Liy decided to take a dip in the water again.

Now only me and Tree were left.

"So uh...What do we do now?" He said.

"Let's play in the sand again!" 

"Fine with me."

I ran down where the shore is with Tree following behind me.

"Pen! Slow down please!!" He shouted.

"You'll be fine!" I said.

Once we made it down there, we started doodling random things in the sand. I drew a dog and Tree drew a quote in the sand.

"You're a really talented writer Tree!"

"Why thank you, Pen."

I felt my chest heat up a bit. Why was I feeling this way?

What will happen if I asked Tree to be my boyfriend? Will he not like me back, or will he be disgusted?

I ignored my intrusive thoughts and decided to do it. I had to do it.

"Hey Tree, I have a question." I said.

"What is it?"

"Please don't be angry or disgusted when I say this..." 

He raised his eyebrow in curiosity. "Just tell me. I promise I won't get angry.

"I..." "I think I like you more than a friend..."

There was a long, awkward silence between us.

"I have to admit though, Pen." "...I also like you more than a friend."

I felt my face turn red.

"So uh...do you want to be my boyfriend, Tree?" 

"Of course!" He said.

I started tearing up a bit but I felt his arms wrap around me.

"I love you, Pen!" "I always will." 

"I love you too, Tree."

The sky was getting darker, and we all hopped into Tree's car and went back to the contestant grounds.
