You’re not sure how you never noticed it before because in the time you’d known Newt you’d never noticed it until now. He smelled amazing. Like seriously amazing, the type of smell that made you feel comfortable and content, that made you want to curl further into him (if that was even possible) and stay there forever.
“You smell nice.” You didn’t plan on telling him, but you were just so relaxed, nestled into his side there on a hammock and really it wasn’t a bad thing to say it was it? He liked you and you liked him and he smelt great.
“Thanks?” You were glad when he left it at that, a bright blush across his cheeks as he looked down at you curled into his side. You were happy just being there like that.
