I waited all afternoon for Christian. Even though he replied that he would be coming soon. It seemed to be to late. He made sure my health was fine, or else he would definitely rush out right then.

I keep staring at the door, leaning against the headboard with my pounding heart. I was so confident about it when I messaged him but gradually fear started building inside my chest.

I'm not afraid of what Adrian said. He can't do anything against Christian, I believe and I hope soon his misunderstanding will break.

I come out of my thoughts as Christian steps into the room passing me an exhausted smile.

I squirm, scanning him at a glance. He looks so tired today again! How am I gonna say these things?

"Hey, gorgeous," he reached me and leans down, capturing my lips into a short- sweet kiss. His forehead touches mine which I find kinda cute every time. "I missed you so much"

After a whole day, I smile and stare at him lovingly.

"Get that pretty lap ready because I badly needed it today," he pushes himself back as I nod and goes directly inside the washroom.

I have started keeping his clothes ready in the washroom latey. It's so weird that I never wanted to do this stuff for anyone before. Nonetheless, I feel good to do such little stuff for him.

Christian throws his head on my lap, wrapping my waist with his long arms. Should I ruin this moment? I don't want to.

He takes my hand and places my palm on his cheek as I start to caress his skin softly.

But I have to. It's enough. There have always been reasons why I couldn't talk to him. After whatever Adrian told me today, I can't delay more. I'll never want a third person to win and become the root of issues between us.

"You wanted to say something" he says in a drowsy voice. "Is everything fine in your University?"

"Yes"

"At work?"

"Yes"

"Your health"

"I'm totally fine now," I reply, caressing his hair.

"So, can we talk about it tomorrow?"

I really don't wanna disturb him but---

No. Not anymore.

"It's important, Chris. Please," I mutter.

"For me, your studies, work and health are important things. If everything is fine with them, the rest of the things can wait," he looks up at me.

"It's more important than that," I mutter.

His eyebrows draw into a frown immediately as I look straight into his eyes. He gets up right away and sits in front of me, his concerned eyes lingering on me.

"What's wrong?" He gently slides his palm down to my cheek and pulls me closer.

Now, I'm so freaking nervous. I never thought it would be so difficult. I go completely dumbfounded for a moment, only having a second thought if I should tell him.

"You're scaring me now, Iv. Tell me what happened? You wanted to say it, right?" He scoffs.

I nod slowly, lowering my eyes.

"Then why are you silent now?"

"I---m nervous," I choke.

"You know you don't need to be nervous today anything to me," he locks my hand in his. "What's wrong, baby? Say it"
