Madelyn and Derek walk together through the hospital halls "Happy to be back on my service" the older Shepherd asks

"I mean, i'm not complaining but we both know i'm not specialising in neuro" Madelyn says to her brother

"Come on Mads you'd be a great neurosurgeon" Derek says looking at his sister

"Oh I know, but you and Amelia are already neurosurgeon's we don't need another in the family" Derek slightly nods his head in agreement "besides my interest are elsewhere"

"Really? Where?"

"I can't tell you that, you'll just convince me otherwise, but I do plan on becoming double board certified so..."

"Wait, wait hold on, double board- that's going to take loads of work and time" Derek rants on and on

"I know, but I'll do it" Madelyn says quirking a eyebrow

Derek goes to lecture his little sister again but is interrupted by Richard who beings making his speech...

..."Our schedule for several months now. Hospitals across the country have reported substantial savings ..."

Derek turns to Bailey "How bad is it today?"

"The chief's implementing a computer model For scheduling our surgeries from now on. Something about efficiency and progress"

Richard continues his speech "And to make sure this was the right decision, I have enlisted one of our own to do a trial run for the last month. Dr. Sloan."

"I know what you're all thinking. It's a machine. It doesn't know me. It doesn't know what I like. But after using this new system for the past month, I gotta say, people, I'm a convert. This computer knows me better than I know me" Mark says smugly

"Chief, this thing has rearranged my schedule for the entire week. I mean, haven't we had enough change here already?" Derek interrupts

"Change is good, everyone. Embrace it." Richard replies dismissing everyone

Madelyn turns to her brother "You two need to stop bickering. It's unattractive." she says before walking away

Later that day Madelyn is stood with her brother when Isaac approaches them "Dr. Shepherd"

"Isaac, if you don't stop calling me Dr. Shepherd, I'm seriously gonna have to cut you off"

"Right. Forgot" He looks at Madelyn "Hi Little Shep

"Hi Isaac" Madelyn replies with a small smile

"I have your scans, Derek"

"I didn't order any scans"

"I think they're for a consult, But I can come back if you're busy"
