"Hey, Madelyn" Jo says approaching the brunette in the lobby

"Mm-hmm?" Madelyn questions

"Make that man leave" Jo says

Madelyn looks over at the man Jo's referring to "Did something happen?" she questions "Listen, do you need me to call security, or..."

"I just... I need him to go away, please" Jo whispers

Madelyn slowly nods "Okay" she says walking i've to the man "Excuse me, sir, um, you've been asked to leave the premises, so if you can follow me..."

"I'm not bugging anyone, I'm not hurting anyone. I have every right to be here" the man replies aggressively

"Sir, do you want me to call security? Because I need you to leave" Madelyn warns

"Oh! This again!" he exaggerates "You're gonna threaten me with..."

"Sir, sir!" Madelyn repeats

"Do not touch me!" he warns despite Madelyn going no where near him

"What do you mean?" Madelyn hears the man from earlier says "You talking about my son?" he asks Jo getting closer to her

"Hold on" Jo says putting the phone down

"You're talking about Chris" He says

"You were told to leave" Jo says "Madelyn" she says nicking the brunette

"I tried, he wouldn't go" Madelyn says

"What happened?" the man asks angrily "What happened to Cynthia? What is it?"

"I can't discuss their conditions with you" Jo replies

"Don't you tell me that. That was is son up there, and you have to tell me what is going on. Answer me" he demands getting in Jo's face

"Sir, you might wanna take a step back" Madelyn warns

"You shut your mouth" he yells at Malden before turning back to Jo "I swear to God if you don't-"

He's cut off by Madelyn's fist meeting his jaw, while he yells in pain the brunette also whines at the impact immediately regretting her decision

"I cannot believe you" April scolds as she paces around the room while Madelyn sits in a chair icing her hand "What the hell were you thinking, do you realise how difficult you're making my day?" she yells

"This isn't about you April" Madelyn says

"It is, Bailey made me chief for the day, I have enough to be dealing with, I don't have time to deal with attending's punching patients"

"He's not a patient" Madelyn replies

"He is now" April says "I thought we said you were gonna leave all this aggression in the past, what the hell is going on with you"

"Nothing!" Madelyn yells

"You've been acting off all week" April says

"No I haven't" Madelyn defends

"Yes you have" April replies

"It's none of your business" Madelyn yells

"So there is something going on" April says

"You're the one who's been acting weird" Madelyn deflects

"What? Are you kidding?" April asks

"Yeah, ever since we've been having sex again-"

April scoffs "Is that all this is? Sex?" she asks

"Well we're not together we're just sleeping together-"

"Stop" April says cutting her off "Just stop. As chief I have made the decision to suspend you for the rest of the week"

"Are you kidding me?" Madelyn scoffs

"Go home Dr. Shepherd" April replies before walking away

Madelyn did not go home, not until she got to see Jo again,

"Hey, Bambi, wait up" Madelyn says walking over to Jo who's about to leave, with Alexis' in one arm she asks the resident "How you doing? You okay? Do you need me to do anything, or...?"

Jo just shake she head sadly as she begins to cry, Madelyn pulls her in for a side hug, placing a kiss on her head and hosing her for a minute

"Thank you" Jo whispers breathlessly before she slowly pulls away and heads home

Madelyn lays on the couch with Alexis in her arm as she flicks through the TV channels, she hears the front for open but completely ignores the redhead who initially heads straight for her room, but decides to walk back into the living room "My transplant was a success. Thanks for asking" she says sarcastically "I had a great day"

"That's great" Madelyn mumbles

"Hope you enjoy your week off" April says only to spite the brunette

"Mmm-hmm" Madelyn hums only making the redhead leave
