"We are not prepared at all" April exclaims from the Kitchen as Madelyn flicks through the TV channels
"We're fine, relax" Madelyn replies
"We are not fine!" April says "I mean we haven't even set up the nursery yet"
"April, we have time" Madelyn replies
"No we don't!" April exclaims "How- how are you always so chill about everything"
"How are you always panicking about everything?" Madelyn replies
"I'm not panicking, i'm being realistic" April defends
Madelyn rolls her eyes as she gets up from the couch "Our baby will be fine, we will be fine" she says walking over to the redhead and pulling her in for a hug "Listen, we can go to the mall this weekend and buy everything we need"
April pulls away from the hug and looks up at the brunette innocently "Or you could go toady?" she says
"Wha-"
"You only have one surgery scheduled this afternoon, so technically your morning is free" April says placing both her hands on Madelyn's cheeks "Please" she begs
The brunette playfully rolls her eyes "Fine" she agrees
"Yay!" April cheers "I love you" she says giving Madelyn a kiss
"Yeah you better" Madelyn replies before grabbing her keys and heading out the door

"Chief" April says walking over to Owen in the ER
"Mm-hmm?"
"Can I talk to you?" she asks
Owen frowns in confusion "You are"
"Privately?" she asks
"Spit it out, Kepner" he replies
April sighs "I'm pregnant. I know it's sudden and it's soon, and I know it makes your life hell, but I will work until it falls out of me. Kepners are built to have babies, sir. W-we've dropped them in fields"
Owen smiles "Kepner, I'm happy for you. I'm thrilled. Congratulations"
"Thank you. It was earlier than we thought, but my mom always says that if you wait for the perfect time to have a baby, then you'll just die... childless" April rambles until she realises Owen isn't listening instead he's watching a report on the news
"If you're just joining us... We have breaking news..."
"Turn that up" Owen demands
"...Of an enormous explosion. It happened only minutes ago at Seattle's mall of the woods. We are getting reports of massive fatalities Explosion! And scores of people injured. Officials have not yet determined...
