"Yeah, uh, how many of these have you done?" Bailey asks
"So, so many" Tom replies
"And what's the recovery time?"
"I took a 13-centimeter tumor out of a cop in roughly the same place. He was walking day one, talking day three, back at work end of the week, so..."
"Thank you, Tom" Amelia interrupts
"Yeah. See you at the after party" Tom says dismissing himself
"He seems arrogant enough" Maggie says
"He's a showboat. And he works best under pressure, so, DeLuca, ask him questions during surgery, make him show off. And if I make it through..." Amelia says
"When you make it through"
"Early ambulation protocol. Thank you. Okay. Meredith, if I die..." Amelia says
"You are not going to die" Mer interrupts
"But if I do, you call my mom. I'm sorry, but she likes you" Amelia says beige turning to April "And i trust you'll be the one to tell Maddy"
April nods slowly "Yeah" she whispers
"And, you, take my room" Amelia says to Maggie "It is way better. I kind of scammed you on that"
"Stop it" Maggie replies
"No, she's right. It's way better" Alex adds
"Owen, if I'm gorked, do not overthink it, do not visit me. Just park me somewhere and go on with your life" Amelia says
Owen sighs "Amelia, please cut it out"
"And if I need unplugging, April has been named my power of attorney" Amelia says making the room go silent a part from Alex who lets out a snort
"W-Was I supposed to say no?" April asks awkwardly
"She likes me. She will be there for you. But we're not so close that she'll let emotion dictate her decision" Amelia defends her decision "I don't know what's me and what's tumor talking, but, um... In this moment, I love you people tremendously"

"Okay so, I know that this might come as a shock to you but" April sighs "Amelia asked me to be her power of attorney and I said- yes"
"She- wh- okay I guess" Madelyn replies "Actually no- thats good, one less thing for me to worry about" she shrugs
"So you're not mad?" April asks
