Madelyn yawns as she strolls into the kitchen walking past Alex and Jackson to grab a cup of coffee, as she's doing this April walks in holding a laundry basket "Okay, I get that you like to put your dirty clothes in my laundry because, frankly, if you didn't, you'd never have any clean clothes. Fine. I will wash your dirty underpants. But you know what? I am not okay with washing your skank of the week's dirty underpants" she says to Alex as she pulls a thong out of the washing with a pencil

Alex sits there silently until Jackson says "Actually, those are... Lexie's." the boy lies taking them from the pencil "Thank you"

"Oh. She w..."

"Oh, yeah"

"Okay. Never mind" April dismisses walking back into the laundry room

"Those are not Lexies" Madelyn says

"Nope. Lauren, third floor, radiology" Alex replies smugly earning a fist bump from Jackson

"Nice" Madelyn says nodding her head in approval

Later that day Madleyn is pages to the ER after a trauma comes in, she's examining her "Okay. Bend your knee for me. Good. Now your ankle"

"Your other knee" Madelyn instructs

"I'm never in the middle of anything"

She sighs "Ankle"

"I have battle wounds"

"All right. I'm gonna get you some painkillers, and then we'll get you up to X-rays"

"Oh, God. Okay. Um ... Am I gonna walk again?"

"No" Madelyn jokes "I'm just messing with you. You're fine. Just got a few broken toes, if that"

"Just toes?"

"Yeah"

"D-do I at least get a cast for that?" the patient asks but Madelyn ignores him

Madelyn is showing Carter the scans of his broken toes "You broke seven toes, but really five 'cause pinkie toes barely count. So we're just gonna tape 'em up and get you outta here"

"Tape? I survive a human stampede, and all I get is tape?"

"I'll throw in some crutches. You don't look like you've got great balance" Madelyn says writing down some notes, she looks back up "What are you supposed to be anyway?"
