"Hey, April. Can I talk to you for a minute?" Madelyn asks
"Sure, what happened?" April asks following Madelyn into an empty room
"Okay" Madelyn sighs "So my therapist seems to think a lot of my problems come from the relationship, well the lack of relationship I have with my Mom. So he suggested that I keep her updated or whatever. And yesterday when she called me for the first time in forever I may have got carried away and told her that you're pregnant" Madelyn confesses
"Oh" April says "That's fine, I told mine a couple days ago to" the redhead says
"Right" Madelyn says "That's not really the problem, the problem is that she's here and I don't know why"
"Your Mom is here?" April asks
"Yep. Just thought I'd warn you incase she tries to talk to you which I've told her not to, but she never listens" Madelyn says
"Great" April mutters

"It is so cold and sleeting back east... just dreadful!" Carolyn says walking into the attending's lounge
"So you came to Seattle for some sun?" Amelia asks
"Mom, you're not supposed to be in here" Madelyn says
"I came to Seattle for my daughter, and my grandchild" Carolyn says
"Mom-"
"How are things going with April?" Carolyn asks
"Why must you meddle in everything?" Madelyn sighs
"I do believe you went through an entire divorce without me saying one word" Carolyn defends
"Very true" Amelia says earning a look from her sister
"Oh, Mads, I just want to talk to her" Carolyn says
"Nope, absolutely not" Madelyn immediately replies
"Oh, come on, honey, let me help" Carolyn says
"Help with what?" Madelyn asks
"Nothing" Carolyn says quickly
"Stay away from April, I mean it. You won't help, Mom. You'll only make things worse. Now, I cannot be any clearer with you about this. No. I don't want you talking to April. I don't want you bullying her around. I don't want you anywhere near it, actually, okay? It's my problem, my business, not yours. Understood?"
