Im the residents lounge Madelyn is listening to Meredith complain about how she can't decide whether she wants to cure alzheimer's or diabetes. Meanwhile she's sat there bri chefs from any trails until her boards, which aren't until next year

"It's horrible" the blonde says

"It's the opposite of horrible" Cristina points out

"Alzheimer's or diabetes?" Meredith asks

"If you continue to whine about how you can't decide which groundbreaking medical advancement to put your name on, I'll punch you in the ear" Madelyn says with a smile on her face

Meredith ingots the girls comment "Well, my name's already on one of them, according to the chief.."

Lexie interrupts her sister "I mean, diabetes ... Affects 240 million people worldwide. And Alzheimer's ... Is the seventh leading cause of death"

"It's "Sophie's choice." Cristina says

"It's "Sophie's choice." the blonde copies

"Uh-huh I've never seen that movie" Lexie says

"Oh, you should. It's really funny" Madelyn says as Bailey walks through the doors

"Greys, okay, how long has your father been having abdominal pain?"

"Abdominal pain?" Lexie says confused

"It sounds like abdominal pain. Thatcher Grey is not an easy man to get information from"

"Our-our father's here in the hospital?" Lexie says still confused

"Yeah, I admitted him an hour ago. You didn't know he was coming?"

Lexie starts to panic "Well, what-what-what's wrong? Could it be related to the liver transplant?"

"Of course. He's rejecting it because it's my liver" Meredith says rolling her eyes

"Okay, look, just do me a favor, go take a blood sample, and try to get some more information out of him. I-I need someone who speaks Grey" Bailey says

"Yeah" Lexie replies walking out

Madelyn is on Callie's service toady, the one bad thing about that was Ortho and Truama often go hand in hand, which is why Madelyn wants to specialise in both, but that's not possible with Owen being...well Owen. What makes it even worse is April is on Owens service toady. Oh and to top it all off Callie is in a particularly moody state. Madelyn concludes it's probably something to do with pregnancies hormones...

"Oh, what do we have here?" Callie says  walking into the trauma room

"You really don't want to know" Owen says
