Today is the day Madelyn has been waiting for...

She gets to become an attending for the day

Madelyn is taking over Callie's service and is using Lexie as her resident

The two girls enter their patient Megan's room

"Megan, hi I'm Dr Shepherd this is Dr Grey" Madelyn says gesturing towards Lexie

"Hi, we're just checking in to see how you're feeling" Lexie says to the girl who has yet to look up from her phone

"Meagan, Meg!" Megan's boyfriend says "She doesn't hear well when she's texting"

"I can hear her" Megan says finally looking away from the screen "Where's the other doctor? Dr. Torres?"

"I'm taking over her service today, and Dr Grey will be checking on you today" Madelyn answers

"How's your knee?" Lexie asks "Is the pain any better?"

Megan stops Lexie from checking her knee "Look, you seem really sweet, but this whole, like super busy, messy-hair, running like a banshee thing you have going doesn't exactly inspire confidence"

Megan then turns to Madelyn "And no offence you don't look a day over 12"

"Well actually i'm 26, almost 27, and I can assure you I know exactly what i'm doing, as does Dr Grey"

"Really? But look at her, I bet she's doesn't even know my case"

"Meg Whealon. Age 28 Tibial plateau fracture caused by a bicycle accident. At least that's what you told the ER, but you foot Dr Torres that you were going 30 miles an hour which makes me think that you were on your boyfriends motorcycle, I'm gonna guess he has a license for it and you don't" Lexie says impressively

"This is off the top of your head?" Megan questions

"Told you she's good"

"I memorised your chart. Your fracture was fixed with elevation and percutaneous screw fixture. You are allergic to penicillin. Current on blood thinners to make sure you don't develop DVT and if you'd just talk to me about your knee, I could adjust your pain meds and be out of your hair"

"She is good" Megan's boyfriend says

Megan looks around the room before looking at Lexie "You're good"

"I'm busy, but i can handle it"

Madelyn nods with approval, this is gonna be a good day for her
