Madelyn is having a quiet day so she decides to do some studying for the boards in Aprils office.
A while later Cristina walks in and starts rummaging through Aprils fridge
"Jambalaya day?" Madelyn asks
"Yep" Cristina replies
"What's April got?"
"Uhh, wanna share her casserole?"
"Definitely" Madelyn says grabbing the casserole and taking a seat on the couch
"You try the cafeteria, too? Jambalaya? Disgusting. Why do they even try?" Meredith says walking in
"April's got, uh, yogurt" Cristina says passing it to Meredith
They both take a seat either side of Madelyn, Cristina grabbing a fork and eating some of the casserole, which was probably the most delicious thing Madelyn has ever eaten
"So Lexie removed a tumor from a woman today, and now Derek's all worried that we gorked her" Meredith says
"Mm. Did you?" Madelyn asks
"No" the blonde replies
"Well, I've spent the entire morning with Owen's stupid nurse" Cristina says through a mouthful of casserole
"Owen's nurse?" Mer says
"The stupid I.C.U. nurse"
"Well, that's not what you said" Madelyn replies
"Oh, and you know what? This is really good. Kepner can cook" Cristina says changing the subject, Madelyn hums in agreement
Alex strolls in "Freakin' jambalaya day. It's like a hearty bowl of salmonella" he mumbles walking over to the fridge
"Hey, how long have you been screwing the intern with the preemie?" Cristina asks
"What?" Both Mer and Madelyn say
Alex looks at her weirdly "Morgan? I am not"
"Uh, well, you both were in the on-call room this morning ... Before dawn"
"Yeah, studying" Alex defends
"You're feeding her" Madelyn comments
"Alex. No. Bad dog" Mer scolds jokingly
"Shut up. I mean, she's ... My intern and she's a patient"
"This is gonna turn out like Rebecca" Madelyn says
Cristina looks at her "Oh, yeah. Smashed-up face? Oh, that ... that was bad"
Meredith agrees "Yeah, she's gonna fall for you, and then she's gonna go crazy and then she's gonna pee on my couch"
