"Wow. That was fast" Madelyn overhears Meredith say
"What was fast?" she asks curiously
"I put out feelers with a real-estate agent about the house, and looks like I got an offer" the blonde replies
"You're selling the house?"
"No. I-I don't know. Maybe" Mer says
"Does Amelia know?" Madelyn asks
"No. But only because I haven't made a decision yet"
"Right"

"You know how many incoming?" Madelyn asks Alex
"No. We don't even know what happened. But it is big"
"I guess we're probably not making it out of here in time for that wedding" Callie says
"That's today?!" Madelyn exclaims having completely forgot Webber and Catherine were getting married
"You did a lobectomy on a dirt road?" Madelyn hears Jo ask
"Well, we had to. The nearest medical center was 150 miles away" April replies
"Hey, does anybody know what happened?" Madelyn asks changing the subject
"Not a clue" Jo replies before turning back to April "So, was it just a 24/7 adrenaline rush?"
"What was a 24/7 adrenaline rush?" Alex asks
"The desert" Jo replies
April shakes her head "No. You get desensitized pretty fast"
"There's another group leaving in two weeks if you're interested" Owen says to Jo
"You're not living in a tent" Alex says
"I grew up in a car" Jo replies
"That had doors" Alex says
"We should both go" Jo suggests
"I'm definitely not living in a tent" Alex says as an ambulance pulls up
"Okay. Here we go." Callie says
"What have you got?" Owen asks the Paramedic
"Mid-60s female with crush injuries. Massive blood loss at the scene. We've done chest compressions for 28 minutes. 49-year-old male. Went into v-fib en route. Shocked times three. He had two rounds of epi and vaso. There are four more ambulances behind us. Every last one of them's got nothing but D.O.A.s."
" What's going on? Why aren't the ambulances unloading?" Jo asks
"Because they aren't ambulances. They're freakin' hearses. All the patients are dead" Madelyn says "What the hell happened out there?" she asks as they all head back inside
