"I'm going in" Reed says

"No you can't. It's inappropriate, this is the chiefs house, right?" April looks to Madelyn's andJackson for support

"Who cares" Madelyn says not really paying attention to the conversation

"No. Go ahead, girl. Get yours" Jackson replies earning a slap on the wrist from April

Reed walks away from the group, Madelyn turns to Jackson and asks "You wanna go upstairs and have sex" she says making April's eyes go wide

"Lead the way" Jackson replies following Madelyn up ten stairs leaving an awkward April by herself

Lexie and Madelyn are standing near the nurses station on the computer when they over hear Teddy say "Nothing, I walked in on Mark and Reed Adamson last night"

Lexie subtly tries to look over her shoulder to hear more of the conversation

"So he cheated on you" Owen says

"No, he didn't cheat on me, we're dating not exclusively he's not my boyfriend"

Madelyn nudges Lexie in the ribs to get the girl to look at her

"Did you hear that" Lexie whispers

"Yeah, but your with Alex remember"

"Yeah, I know, I know"

"Okay, so it's fine then" Madelyn says just as Reed walks past the girls, Lexie's eyes follow Reed, shaking her head ever so slightly

"Come on Lex" Madelyn says grabbing the girls arm and pulling her to the ER

Madelyn and Lexie are both working with Callie toady on an old patient in the ER who is on the phone "Yes, Andrew I said surgery. Now...wait wait"  The woman says putting the phone to Callie's ear "Would you explain to my son why he doesn't need to worry?"

"Hello? hi. Your mom has some broken bones in her for arm but we're gonna put some small metal plates in, and she'll be discharged tomorrow"

The woman pulls her phone away from Callie's ear as Callie says goodbye making Madelyn and Lexie chuckle

"See dear? Don't jump on a plane. I'm gonna call you right after surgery. Well love you too darling, Bye-bye" the patient hangs up the phone

"My son, a lawyer. He's single. Very nice, a little bit older"

"I'm dating someone, kind of" Lexie says "What about you Reed?" she directs to the girl standing by a computer "You go for older guys, right?"

Reed just glares at the girl before walking away

"Was it something I said" The woman asks

"Oh no, no it's not you" Madelyn says glaring daggers at Lexie who just sighs in defeat

Betty lays in her bed, telling Callie, Lexie and Madelyn the story of how her and Henry, another patient in the hospital, know each other

"I figured I would write to her eventually and explain, but how do you say, I couldn't stand up in your wedding because I fell in love with your fiancé"

"It just, happened, I felt terrible. It was wonderful. He was my first"

"For the first time in my life, I felt complete. Being with Henry I felt complete

"And it would've ruined my friendship with Irene. But of course the friendship was ruined anyway"

"I told myself there'd be plenty of Henry's in my life"

"And were there" Callie asks

"My husband was a good man, kind, funny, smart. But he was no Henry. There was never another Henry"

Dr Webber walks into Betty's room and says "Dr Torres, I have an idea"

Madelyn is scrubbing in on Betty's surgery with Callie

"Wow impressive technique, who taught you that?" the attending asks

"I grew up with 5 doctors as older siblings, 6 including Mark. You learn things." Madelyn says shrugging

The attending nods in understanding "You know, I can't help thinking how stupid Betty and Henry were for letting each other go. And now after all they've been through they're here together? I mean it's crazy. Right?"

"It's pretty crazy"

"All I want is for her to change her mind and say yes. I want to believe" Callie says

Madelyn realises she's talking about Arizona "Don't come to me for relationship advice, I know nothing"

Callie just rolls her eyes at the girl "You know you're going to have to stop having meaningless sex one day?"

"Says who"

"You don't want to get married? Have kids?"

"Nope"

"So this thing with the Avery boy..."

"Is nothing, you wanna know why it's nothing"

"Why?"

"Because I don't want it to be, besides I haven't stopped sleeping around"

"Oh so, he's just one of your many things?"

"Yeah, but he knows that, So..."

"You're unbelievable" Callie mutters

After a successful surgery and a successful day with Henry and Betty rekindling their love Madelyn heads home, falling asleep almost instantly.

Oblivious to the events soon to follow...
