"Oh, hey. Bring a Daughter to Work Day?" Owen questions when he sees Madelyn with Alexis

"Yeah, it's April's first day back, but I got paged for an emergency surgery. Got to get her to the daycare. You seen April at all?" Madelyn asks the brunette clearly in a rush

"Uh, I saw her in the pit" Owen says

"Okay great" Madelyn says heading that way

"Hey, you want me to take Alexis up there?" Owen offers

"No, no, I wouldn't ask" Madelyn replies

"Kepner's busy. I'm free. I'm happy to help...

Madelyn quickly changes her mind "That would be really great, actually. Thank you. Okay" she says placing a kiss on the baby's head "I love you sweetheart, mom will be back soon" she says handing Alexis to Owen "Okay, just walk her around for like 15 minutes and just get her to sleep, you know...before you take her to the daycare. Thank you so much" Madelyn says rushing off

Madelyn walks into a supply closet and sees Amelia is looking through the shelves. Meredith

"Oh, hi" Amelia says stopping what she's doing

"Hi" Madelyn replies still in a rush

"What do you need?" Amelia asks

"Cooling blankets. What are you doing?" Madelyn questions

"Uh, nothing"

"Really? 'Cause you look super sketchy" Madelyn says

"Close the door" Amelia says

Malden shuts the door then asks "You're not looking for drսg, right?"

"No. Madelyn!" Amelia exclaims

"Oh. Well, I don't know. I mean, I'm supposed to ask if I care, right?" Madelyn says

"I'm pregnant"

"Congratulations!" Madelyn says excitedly giving her sister a hug "I didn't even know you were trying. That's wonderful"

"We just started"

"Oh, my goodness, I'm thrilled for you guys. Owen must be thrilled" Madelyn says "He seemed eager to take Alexis from me"

"I don't know when to tell him. I, uh, don't want to get his hopes up until I'm sure. He's really excited about this" Amelia says

Madelyn's face drops "You just think you're pregnant?"

"I'm late. I'm never late. Never"

"So, this isn't real?" Madelyn questions

"I can't find the freaking pregnancy tests" Amelia says

"Wait. I hugged you and you haven't even peed on a stick yet?"

"I can't find the sticks" Amelia says

Madelyn grabs one from the shelf and hands it to her sister "Tell Owen now or later. That's your call. Tell me when it's real" she says walking away

"Hi" Madelyn's says softly standing next to Willow at the nurses station

"Hey" Willow replies with a big smile

"What are you up to right now?" Madelyn asks moving closer to the blonde

"Just going through some charts" the blonde replies

"Sounds boring" Madelyn says

"It is" Willow replies

"Hmm" Madelyn hums as she tucks a loose strand of Willows hair behind her ear

"I met April for the first time earlier" Willow says making Madelyn let out a sigh "Relax, she was lovely"

"Like lovely lovely or fake lovely?" Madelyn asks

"Why would she be fake lovely?" Willow questions in return

"I don't know" the brunette shrugs "Do you want to have sex?"

"Madelyn Shepherd" Willow exclaims out of fear the surrounding doctors overheard the brunettes eagerness

"What?! It's just a question" Madelyn replies

"We're working" Willow says

"And?" Madelyn questions

Willow rolls her eyes playfully "I need to finish charting, so i'll meet you in an on-call room in 15"

"I'll wait" Madelyn says resting her chin on her hand as she gazes up at the blonde

"You're gonna watch me fill out charts?" Willow asks

"Yep" Madelyn replies with a smile

Willow shakes her head with a smile "Okay then" she says softly

"You're beautiful" Madelyn says

Willows eyes meet the brunettes "I can't work if you're gonna talk"

"Why not?" Madelyn asks

"Because every time you open your mouth you make me want to kiss you" Willow says

"I don't see the problem?" Madelyn replies with a smile

"Go and wait in an on-call room" Willow says in an attempt to hold back her laughter

"Yes ma'am" Madelyn says before obeying

"So, she ate about an hour ago" Owen says as he hands Alexis over to Madelyn

"You had her all day? I thought you were gonna take her to daycare" Madelyn replies holding the baby close to her "Hi darling" she says softly to Alexis

"Yeah, I wasn't that busy" Owen says

"Oh, he didn't want to put her down is what it was" Richard comments as he walks over to the pair, sending a small wave to Alexis who coos in response "Happened to me all the time. It's the way her head smells"

"Yeah. Yeah, I know" Madelyn says with a smile "I'm just glad she didn't give you any trouble"

"I was fine. She was great. Easy" Owen reassures

"All right, thanks again" Madelyn says before walking away with Alexis in her arms
