"Madelyn, I am having a crisis" Amelia says walking into the brunettes office "Madelyn?" Amelia says when she sees her sister with her head on her desk "Uh.. Madelyn Rose Shepherd!" she exclaims

"Yeah, I'll get her" Madelyn says immediately after waking up "Hey. Just, um, catching up" she says

"Tough night with Alexis?" Amelia asks sitting fine opposite her sister

"She got up like six times. Or maybe seven" Madelyn says with a yawn "Does it count if she wakes just as we're putting her back down?"

""We"? What, you and April?" Amelia questions "No, you guys... You have to switch off, take turns"

"Yeah, I know. We are, totally. I mean, kind of. It's just, you know, she's recovering from surgery, so every time it's her turn, I still get up and see how she's doing, which makes her feel guilty, so then she tries to come and help when it's my turn, and I spend that entire time trying to convince her that she needs to get rested up for... for her turn" Madelyn explains

"Which you then get up for, too?" Amelia questions

"It's not a perfect system. But, um, I'm ready to work, you know? I'm just... I'm cranking away right here" Madelyn says

"Okay, Yeah, um, well, tell you what. I'll stop by the coffee cart... Or not. Uh, got a trauma on the helipad" Amelia says looking at her pager "You're on your own"

Madelyn had made her way to an on-call room and was woken an hour later by Willow knocking on her office door

"Hey" the blonde says walking in

"Hi" the brunette replies sleepily

"Tired?" the blonde questions

"Exhausted" Madelyn says "I could do with some coffee" she says

"I don't have coffee for you, but I do have something else" Willow says walking over to the brunette and straddling her

"Hmm" Madelyn hums in content as the blonde connects their lips, just as Madelyn is about to remove her scrub top someone walks into the room

"Oh my God" April exclaims "I'm so- Madelyn?" she questions

"April" the brunette says sitting up

"I- sorry" the redhead apologises before shutting the door

"April, April" Madelyn calls after the redhead "April, stop" she says following her down the hallway "April-"

"What, Madelyn?!" April snaps harshly

"I didn't know you were here" is the only thing Madelyn manages to get out

"Oh wow, okay" April says "Who the hell was that?"

"She's the new ortho attending-"
