3rd POV

The four rushed into the hospital with Y/n carrying Summer in her arms.

Vanessa ran up to the desk as she tried not to panic. "I-I think my friend is having a heart attack."

The receptionist looked back at Y/n and Summer before pressing a button.

Immediately three people ran from behind the double doors, two pushing a stretcher and one coming straight to Summer.

"Here lay her down." The doctor pointed at the stretcher.

Y/n gently laid her down and the doctor and nurses immediately got to work. As the nurses wheeled Summer to the back the doctor began yelling out orders and checking for a pulse.

Vanessa ran up and stood in front of the double doors.

"Ma'am, you cant block the doors."

Vanessa didn't budge and Y/n sighed walking up behind her. "Nessa," she placed a hand on her shoulder causing her to snap her head into Y/n's direction. "Let's go sit down okay?"

Vanessa glanced at the door once more before slowly nodding.

The waiting room was fairly empty besides two other people.

Y/n, Vanessa, and Jasmine all walked to sit in the chairs closest to the double doors.

Y/n glanced up at Jasmine. "I-It's late and um, you told your parents you'll be back by nine so...Go ahead and go okay?"

Jasmine glanced at Vanessa. "Are you sure?"

She nodded. "Yeah um, I got it here."

Jasmine bit her lip and shook her head as she sat. "I can't do that- I can't leave um...My parents won't mind keeping the kids for longer."

Y/n raised a brow and nodded. "O-Okay."

Jasmine looked at the doors and nodded.

"Was that normal Vanessa?"

Vanessa gulped and nodded. "Yeah, b-but I feel like she was more stressed than she ever was."

"Shit."

Vanessa sighed. "If she dies..."

Y/n struggled to come up with something to say. Death wasn't her strong suit...obviously, and she didn't know what would make Vanessa feel better. "Don't-"

Jasmine cut her off sensing that she was about to say something stupid. "She's going to be okay."

Vanessa rolled her eyes. "How do you know that?"

Y/n grimaced and sat back. Well, I'm happy I stopped talking.

Jasmine looked over at her. "I just do."

Vanessa scoffed. "And if she's not-"

"Stop it with the if shit, if she's not this if she's not that- none of that if shit matters because it's all hypothetical," Jasmine sighed and reached out placing her hand on Vanessa's knee. "When you say anything, you're putting it out into the universe. Being uncertain about whether she'll be okay or not is giving the universe the chance to do whatever it wants. Know what you want and let the universe know too, I know that Summer will be okay, do you?"

Vanessa looked down at Jasmine's hand and slowly nodded as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Yeah."

Jasmine shook her head. "Say it V."

Vanessa smiled softly at the semi-old nickname, the fact that they started to lose their friendship over jealousy and uncertainty... and fucking Y/n upset her a little and made her realize...many things.
