[DIA] (BFDI x II) A Black Hole living on Earth

Normal P.O.V:

The Language Arts teacher Seven goes around their classroom passing out a book to each of the students while they're chatting, including Black Hole.

Seven: Alright class, this next assignment involves those books I have just passed out to each and everyone of you, you have one week to read it through and write your summery about your thoughts on it. I say you'll find this one rather festive.

Black Hole carefully obverses the book cover while reading aloud the title to himself.

Black Hole: "A Christmas Carol"? 

Book then turns to him from her seat which is in front of him to talk to him.

Book: That's the most well known Christmas story in the whole world! Published back in 1843 by Charles Quillens, it tells the tale of an eldery miser Ebenezer Scrooge who on Christmas Eve is visited by his former business partner Jacob Marley and... well you'll have to read it yourself for that one.

Upon hearing the word 'Scrooge' Black Hole thought back to when Pen called Tree a scrooge for saying something about Santa not being real and wonders if this story would have anything to do with it.

*RIIING*

Seven: Class dismissed.

Pencil: Ugh. I really don't like having to read books, they're so boring and lame.

Match: Well we could just like, watch the movie and write our opinions off of that.

Black Hole: A Christmas Carol is a movie too?

Book: There are quite a few adaptations of it among other popular books, which some people always undermine!

Pencil: You're just like saying that because you're a book uh Book. 

Match: Yeah Book. You're like totally biased.

Book: I am not biased, I'm serious.

Paper: I'm with Book on that note, while a movie based on a popular book series is cool and all but they tend to leave certain things out that you can only experience through reading the book.

Book: Finally somebody gets it, thank you Paper.

Pencil rolls her eyes and she and Match walk off to their next classes.

Pencil: Phfft What-ever.   

Black Hole: Hm, while I'm intrigued on the movie I think I'll stick to the book.

~Time skip Lunch~

Black Hole sits somewhere in the cafeteria and after dumping everything on his tray into him (like usual) he brings out the book Seven gave him and opens it to start reading. Eventually Remote, Tree, Lightning and Fanny had gathered on the table.

Lightning: Heya Black Hole. 

Black Hole: Huh? Oh- Hey guys, didn't notice you were sitting here.

Tree: We just sat down..?

Black Hole: oh.   

Remote: What are you reading there?

Black Hole: A book that Seven assigned us in LA, I have to write a summery on my thoughts of A Christmas Carol after I finish it in a week.

Tree: A Christmas Carol huh? That's a good choice from Professor Seven, it really tells you what it means to have Christmas spirit.

Black Hole nods in agreement while he continues reading his book.

Black Hole: Hmm... 

Black Hole: Hey guys, what exactly does "Bah humbug" mean?

Remote: It's a combination of two meanings of a bad temper and 'balderdash'.

Fanny: It's also what people without Christmas spirit are believed to say, I hate those kinds of people.

Lightning: Woah Fanny, are you implying that you don't hate Christmas?

Fanny: Of course I don't hate Christmas what kind of heartless monster do you take me for!?

Lightning: Fair enough...

Black Hole: So wait this story is about a crud old guy who doesn't care for Christmas? How is it that this story is so popular?

Tree: Just continue reading and you'll find that the book ends rather happily.

Gelatin sneaks up behind Tree in attempts to put some ornaments on his branches when he swiftly turned to him making him flinch.

Tree: Don't. Even. Think. About it.

Gelatin: I'VE BEEN SPOTTED! 

Naily: ABORT THE MISSION! ABORT THE MISSION!

Gelatin and Naily both scatter around the cafeteria far off from Tree who sighs in frustration and pinches his fingers over his eyes.

Tree: Can't go one day in this time of year without someone trying to decorate me...

Lightning swiftly hides a coil of popcorn string behind him as Tree says that.

Lightning: Phfft- Right? That's so annoying... heh.

Tree: ........

~Time skip (again)~

Black Hole sits on his sofa reading A Christmas Carol while Tree was out resettling in at his newly built house, he grew rather interested in it at the part where the ghost of Jacob Marly warned Scrooge about the three spirits that'll visit him. His reading was of course interrupted when as usual loud music can be heard from the room of his neighbor Mic.

Mic: Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it awaaayyyy... This year, to save me from tears I'll give it to someone special. Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it awaaaayyyy... This year, to save me from tears, I'll give it to someone special.~

Black Hole marks the page he was on before closing it and goes to her room.

Mic: Once bitten and twice shy, I keep my distance but still you catch my eye. Tell me baby do you recognize me? Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me. Merry Christmas, I wrapped it up and sent it with a note saying 'I love you', I meant it. Now I know what a fool I've been but if you kiss me now I know you'd fool me again.~

Black Hole: AHEM!

Mic: HM? OH! *presses button* Hey Black Hole, what's up?

Black Hole: Just checking in, wouldn't you I don't know have homework to do or something? 

Mic: I am doing my homework.

Black Hole: What?

Mic: Two assigned us in music class to practice our own little Christmas song performance in class and I'm practicing. 

Black Hole: Oh cool, Seven gave us a classic book to read and write our thoughts about it before next week.

Mic: Nice.

Black Hole and Mic: ....

Mic: OH you're here cuz you need me to keep it down a little so you can focus better aren't you?

Black Hole gives a simple thumbs up while nodding 'yes' with a small smile.

Mic: Totally understandable my bad. I'll just practice at Soap's place, she usually doesn't mind what I do (unless I make a mess). 

Black Hole: Ok then. 

Mic: See ya tomorrow! X )
