[DIA] (BFDI x II) A Black Hole living on Earth

Black Hole's P.O.V:

Black Hole: Out of all the creatures I've seen in my travels through space, you are by far the strangest and quiet possibly the freakiest being in the universe. Tell me, for what purpose could you as a species exist within this world for?

Awkward silence...

David: Aww seriously?

Black Hole: *clicks pen* I see... I suppose I might not know at all...

Ruby: Heya Black Hole, what are you doing?

Black Hole: Trying to study David and learn more about his species for my biology assignment. But he's hardly cooperative...

David: Aww seriously?

Ruby: Yeah, he's like that.

Black Hole: Did you want to talk with me about something?

Ruby: Yeah actually. You visit Tree frequently right, can you tell me how he's doing?

Ruby looks to me with a worried look to her, I close my notebook and get up.

Black Hole: Why don't we go see him and find out?

David: Aww seriously?

Black Hole: No, David you're not coming along.

I fly myself and Ruby over to the hospital and we both make our way to the teen cancer lounge where Tree was found hanging out with Penny, another patient with cancer.

Tree: And that's what make William Shakespeare the greatest writer of all time. Oh Black Hole, Ruby hello.

Black Hole: Hey Tree, we brought donuts.

Tree: Ooh!

Tree takes the box from me and looks inside for some before looking back me puzzled.

Tree: Where are the powdered ones?

Black Hole: Uuh... they were out... (*to Ruby* Don't tell him we ate them)

Black Hole: So, how is everything?

Tree: Well I'm getting a lot better, the doctors are discussing about clearing me to go back to school after spring break. Oh, and Dr. Fizz is calling my mom at 3.

Black Hole: You're almost cleared!? That's great! 

We both sat down on the couch while Ruby and Penny scarfed down the rest of the donuts. Then out of nowhere someone yells.

Female voice: WHAT THE-!?

Black Hole: *sigh* What did you do now...?  | (

Tree: *chuckle* Something good... Oh She's coming!

Nurse Flashlight comes into the room aggravated and glares in the direction of Tree.

Nurse Flashlight: Tree, I should've known. Who put blue dye in the sanitizer dispenser?

Tree: That wasn't me but I found the bottle and it said that stuff comes off with vinegar.

Nurse Flashlight: Y'know Tree I'm so glad you're treatments are almost done. Now Penny come here, your next treatment is ready.

The Nurse leaves with Penny and Tree gets up as he checks the time of his wrist watch.

Tree: Well, I'm at least able to go home now. You like to go with me?

Black Hole: Yeah sure. You coming Ruby?

Ruby: No thanks, me and FreeSmart are going to see a movie. get well soon Tree!

One low flight to Tree's house later we arrive.

Tree: Mother should be here soon after work knowing her. I'm heading upstairs for a nap, you're free to make yourself at home in the meantime.

After Tree head up to his room I took a little walk around the place. I soon heard a familiar chirp and noticed a rectangular bird cage with the cheeky little woodpecker inside.

Black Hole: Hey there Rodrick, been a while. I can see Pie has taken great care of you.

Rodrick: *happy chirps*

After chatting with Rodrick I grab the remote and watch some tv. A few minuets later Mrs. Oaks came inside just like Tree said.

Acacia: Oh, Black Hole. Didn't know you were here.

Black Hole: Hey Acacia, Tree is upstairs taking a nap.

Acacia: That's good to know, in his condition he's not supposed to get tired. Which is why I'm staying with him until further notice.

She sits down beside me while we talk and watch tv together. 

Black Hole: Hey, can I ask you something? When Tree first told you about me... were you nervous about him dating a black hole? Be honest.

Right when I asked Acacia that question she stares back at me with an expression I can't really read and stays silent for a moment.

Acacia: He's been telling me about you almost since he met you. 

Black Hole: So like everyone else you first knew me as Vortex?

Acacia: *nods* I was confused when he came online and told me what you actually were but the more he said about you, the more I thought maybe you are perfect for him. 

She puts her hand on my back in a comforting manner and gives a warm smile.

Acacia: You really shouldn't worry too much about what people think of you for what you are. As long as you're happy being you, nothing else matters.

Black Hole: That's just what I needed to hear. Thanks.

Acacia: No problem sweetie.
