Legends of the Cosmic Serpents

Normal P.O.V:

Tree, Lightning, Pen, Remote, Ruby and Book hang out at the park having a nice chat when Book brings up a highly interesting topic.

Book: So have you guys heard about the reported sighting last night?

Tree: Sighting of what? I'm gonna need details.

Book: Well a kid and her father were having fun with their telescope when the witnessed a Cosmic Serpent fly straight past their view over our planet! 

Pen: Woah, A Cosmic Serpent!? AWESOME! Quick question, what's a cosmic serpent?

Book: A Cosmic Serpent is a mysterious snake-like creature that's also comparable to a dragon, they live far in the endlessness of space or in the very edge of a planet's ozone layer. Seeing one is a very rare chance even for astronauts and astronomers. Here, I'll show a picture of the one seen last night.

Book opens herself allowing the others to look at the photo taken of the majestic creature. The serpent looked to have it's body made up of meteorites and wings of highly compressed gases. 

Tree: Hm, pretty impressive.

Ruby: It's beautiful!

Remote: So that's what they look like.

Book closes herself and continues her lecture about Cosmic Serpents.

Book: Well some of them. Compared to the other few sightings of Cosmic Serpents, the creatures come in a wide variety of appearances. They can even resemble a planet in it's habitat! Legend has it that a Cosmic Serpent is so strong it can even escape the pull of a black hole!

Ruby: That's insane!

Lightning: Speaking of black holes, I bet he has seen some cosmic serpents in his time in space. He can probably tell us more about them.

Tree: That's a good idea Lightning.

Book: A chance to unravel the mysteries of such space creatures? I'm in!

Tree: He should be at his apartment at this time, Let me call him so we can come over.

Tree gets out his phone and dials in Black Hole's phone number, he then puts it to his head and waits as it rings until it beeps a bit and Black Hole's voice is heard from it.

Tree's phone: *BEEP* "You have reached Black Hole's phone-line, unfortunately I'm not available at this time. Feel free to leave a message and I might call back." *BEEP*

Tree: Hm, he must be a little busy at the moment.

Ruby: Can we still visit him anyway? I really want to learn more about the space dragons.

Book: Cosmic Serpents.

Tree: I don't see why not, let's go.

The group then make their way to Black Hole's apartment where Cherry Jr. sits on the couch watching tv with some cheese-itz.

tv: "Where's Gibby?" "GIBBY!!" 

Cherry Jr: Oooh.. that must hurt. *slight laugh*

*KNOCK KNOCK*

Cherry Jr. hops off of his seat and goes to answer the door.

Cherry Jr: Who's there?

Tree: It's me Tree, with some others. Can we come in?

Cherry Jr: Sure.

Tree's P.O.V:

The kid opens the door letting us in, Ruby quickly goes to Cherry Jr face to face with sparkles in her eyes and even squishes his face a little.

Ruby: Hi! You must be the kid Black Hole adopted, so nice to meet you! ^u^

Cherry Jr: Awww. You too.

Tree: Where's Black Hole?

Cherry Jr: I think he went out somewhere earlier this morning.  You're all welcome to hang out here for when he comes back, I'm watching iCarly right now.

Pen: iCarly? Sweet!

Pen jumps onto the couch to watch the nickelodeon sitcom with Cherry Jr while the others (Ruby & Book mainly) had a little look around, me included.

Ruby: Hey look, Black Hole plays Pokemon Violet. I'm gonna see what pokemon he has.

Book: Ruby please don't, that's pretty much disrespecting his privacy-

Ruby: Aww that's sweet, he has a Trevenant in Pokemon Home named after you Tree.

Tree: He does?

Ruby: Yep take a look!

Ruby shows me the summary of a Trevenant that is in fact named after me transferred from pokemon shield. I felt my heart be touched by such wholesomeness. Meanwhile Lightning flew around the apartment looking through doors when upon looking into one down the short hall he immediately closes it and his back held against said door.

Lightning: Uhh... guys? You might want to see this.

Lightning cracks the door open allowing us to peek through and we saw was the last thing to expect. A giant pitch dark snake like creature lies in the small room coiled up sleeping, the strange beast has two sharp horns curved to the back of it's head, thin spikes lined it's spine, a pair of disembodied 'hands' with 3 talons rested beneath it's head as it quietly snored but still loud enough for us all to hear it.

Giant snake thing: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Pen: What is that?

Lightning: I don't know, I just found it in Black Hole's room.

Giant snake thing: *grumble*

The strange beast suddenly grumbles in it's sleep and moves a little to get comfortable in it's slightly cramped space, this caused us all to flinch and immediately go silent. Book closes the door when the beast stopped. 

Book: *whispers* Shhh, having that thing awake might not be what we want.

We all nod in agreement and tiptoe back into the living room, Pen goes over to Cherry Jr to talk to him.

Pen: Hey Cherry Jr? Do you know there's a freaky dragon-snake in the apartment?

Cherry Jr: Hm? Yeah, that snake has been sleeping in there for a while. Noticed it this morning.

Book: And you didn't call Black Hole your guardian?

Cherry Jr: I don't have his number. :/

Tree: Well you should in case of potential emergencies like this. I got it.

(Author's NOTE: I would've added more to the chapter but it was longer than I thought it'd be. But if Cherry Jr was home by himself aware of the dragon-snake thing in the apartment, then where's Black Hole in all of this?)
