Ninety Nine

I'm walking around the ER trying to maintain the chaos.

Savannah: Edwards, vomiter in bed five. Rule out obstruction, please?

Edwards: yay!

I walk over to Derek.

Savannah: how are we doing?

Derek: she's in alright shape, but she's complaining about stomach pains.

Meredith comes up to me at the nurses desk.

Meredith: what do we got, Sav?

Savannah: MVC, bed three. Shepherd's doing a neuro consult, but she's complaining of stomach pain. Dr. Pierce.

Maggie: hey. Busy morning.

Savannah: yeah, when it rains. Hey, do you mind checking on chest pains in bed six?

Maggie: sure.

Savannah: and are we still good for tonight?

Maggie: totally. I'll bring over some wine and my favourite movies.

Savannah: oh, and we might have another guest joining us tonight. Hope you don't mind.

Maggie: sure.

Savannah: and Jackson will be taking care of our daughter so I hope you don't mind.

Maggie: I wouldn't mind having her around. She's adorable.

Savannah: of course she's adorable. I mean, hot parents equals hot kid.

I meet with Nicole who was wheeling in a patient.

Savannah: talk to me, Nicole.

Nicole: 20 something female carjacking victim– multiple lacs and contusions, open tibia fracture, hypotensive and tachycardic.

Savannah: this was a carjacking?

Owen: and a hell of a beating. Wilson, you're with me.

I help Owen take the patient into a trauma room.

Savannah: alright, on my count. One, two, three.

The patient starts freaking out as we lift her.

Melissa: they took my car!

Owen: shh, shh. What's your name?

Melissa: Melissa. My car—

Savannah: Melissa, I'm sure your car's fine. We're gonna take care of you, okay?

Owen: Wilson, go see if anyone came in with her.

Wilson: okay.

April and I walk out of the trauma room and walk towards the desk.

Savannah: Dr. Hunt in trauma one needs an Ortho consult.

Nurse: on it.

I see Jackson come around with Natalie behind him and Jeremy beside him walking towards April.

Savannah: there's my baby!

Natalie and I squeal as we pull each other into a hug.

Savannah: god, you have no idea how much I've missed you.

Natalie: I've missed you too, mom.

April: Jeremy. I thought you were on the—

Jeremy: yeah, your mom's flight got in early, so I brought her here.

April: why would you do that?

Jeremy: 'cause she wanted to see you. Jackson said I could set her up in the Attendings' lounge. She's playing with Cathy right now– she loves her, btw.
