Bailey walks into my trauma room as I'm bringing in a patient.

Bailey: what do we have.

Savannah: BP's 95 palp. Somnolent, but responsive to painful stimuli. Stats are 92 with 100 percent oxygen. On my count, one, two, three.

Bailey: it's an MVC?

Savannah: sort of. Two people in one car drove off a cliff on Admiral Way.

Bailey: do we have a name?

Savannah: haven't seen an ID yet.

Bailey: they didn't find a purse?

Savannah: they didn't even find a blouse. She came in dressed like this.

Bailey: why are people driving around with no clothes on?

Savannah: passenger's next door. Maybe he knows.

I see Owen walk into the ER, so I walk over to him and fill him in.

Savannah: he's got a head lac, and they both have abdominal injuries. Uh, Bailey's here, and I paged Grey. You can jump in if you want, but I think we got it covered. And—

Denise: somebody please help, please! My baby can't breathe!

I rush over to the woman holding her child.

Gary: she's choking on something.

Savannah: O2 and crike kit, please?

Owen: move. Move!

Owen pushes me out of the way, grabs the baby to flip her over then smacks her back twice, and the object that was choking her comes out.

Owen: how long had she been choking?

Gary: I don't know– a– a few minutes– five?

Owen: page Shepherd. The baby's brain may have been deprived of oxygen for too long. Next time, call an ambulance.

I watch Owen walk away then I check on the baby.

I went back to my patient after Amy came around.

Savannah: lower extremity deformity with a large hematoma. Can't find a pedal pulse.

Bailey: trauma panel, type and cross her eight.

Maggie: I hope the sex was good.

Savannah: I don't mind car sex.

As the patient begins to groan, Maggie removes the oxygen mask.

Maggie: hey. Miss. Hey, you're okay. You're at Grey-Sloan Memorial. I do need you to keep still though, okay?

Bailey: abdomen's very distended. Bring me the ultrasound now.

Alison: is he alive?

Savannah: can you tell us your name?

Alison: Alison. Please, is he– he alive?

Just then, Alison starts coughing up blood.

Maggie: rapid intubation. I need a 7-O ET tube.

Bailey: she has a lot of blood in her abdomen. Alison, we're gonna take you up to the OR now.

Savannah: pressure's dropped, 70 over 40! She's bleeding out. Hang blood on the infuser and prep her for REBOA catheter.
