I'm leaning into Jackson as we walk to Nisha's room.

Savannah: why are we back here?

Jackson: Nisha spiked a post-op fever.

We walk into the room, and Schmitt updates us.

Levi: she's been in and out since you two left, and her blood pressure's dropping.

Savannah: okay, let's get a sepsis work up, a chest x-ray, and some cultures.

Natalie: blood and urine is already done.

Jackson: hey, Nisha, I'm gonna check out your back, alright? It might sting a little bit.

Cece: Nisha, how you feeling?

Nisha: I don't know. How am I feeling?

Jackson: you got a bit of an infection back here, but I'm gonna change up your antibiotics, okay?

Nisha: you can do whatever you want to me. Oh, wait. You're married to the really pretty girl. But see? I flirted!

I chuckle at Nisha.

Savannah: you did, sweetie. Good job.

Cece: excellent work. A little aggressive, but once the drugs wear off, we'll work on the nuance.

In the next room, I hear Cece's monitors go off.

Natalie: she's in v-tach! Pull in the crash cart!

I pull off my gloves and run into Cece's room.

Savannah: paddles. Sync charge to 100. Alright, here we go. We got you. Clear!

Natalie: still v-tach.

Savannah: 120. Clear. 200. Clear!

Cece comes back as I check her monitors.

Cece: what– what happened?

Jackson: Dr. Avery-Collins, a little help! Her heart rate's climbing.

I let out a sigh.

Savannah: it's gonna be a long night. Here we go.

Holding a tray of coffee of coffee in my hands, I let out a yawn as I join Meredith and Jackson with the interns.

Meredith: you look like death.

Savannah: I feel like it.

I let out another yawn as I give coffee to Jackson, Mer and Natalie before resting my head on Jackson's shoulder.

Savannah: I'm exhausted. Normally, I can handle being in surgery for six hours without a glitch. But this baby in my uterus is sucking all the energy—

Meredith: you're pregnant? Again?

I let out a groan.

Savannah: I knew I was forgetting something. Yeah. Surprise. Baby Avery number 4 on the way.

I smile as Meredith pulls Jackson and I into a hug.

Meredith: congratulations. I'm so happy for you guys.

Savannah: thanks, Mer.

Meredith: now, can you please tell your husband that I'm not married to my work?

Savannah: I can't exactly say that, because you really are, Mer. Hell, we all are. You are just more married to it than we are.

Jackson: I heard the hyperbaric chamber is done. Why don't we take a peak?
