A fight that broke hearts

What had happened that morning had been so sudden, the way the Jamba Hearts had just came and took over people like that..in such a ruthless manner as well. Maybe that's why Meta Knight was acting aloof? I mean, I don't know, I'm just making a good guess. Let's check on him and see what exactly he's doing..

Fiercely, Meta Knight stood high upon a rock, overlooking the canyon. Scowling, memories of the his lover flooded his mind. How he hated him! Galacta Knight had only gotten in his way and made him miserable! The Jamba Heart produced these twisted thoughts, as the real Meta Knight had to listen to them, completely defenceless. What lead him to this, may you ask? Well, the Jamba Heart thrived off of the desires of it's victims. Meta Knight always had desired to be the strongest warrior in the galaxy, but since he reworked things with Galacta Knight he set that desire to rest. With his cape rippling behind him, he stood tall and observed his surroundings. Once he was sure nobody was around, he started to train and fired attacks aimlessly and quite carelessly.

Back with the others...

The large group walked together through Green Greens, parading through the grassy paradise. The large group had broken off into smaller groups. Rick, Kine and Coo were talking with Gooey and Kirby, Susie walked with Dedede, Escargoon and Bandana Waddle Dee which left Maddie, Becca and (Y/n) to walk together. The Knight Bois lead the way and babbled on about the mission at hand. Adeleine and Ribbon lagged behind a bit, but still kept up pretty well.
"Should we stop for food?" Adeleine asked.
Dark Meta Knight facepalmed but hit his mask too hard and hurt his face. He acted as if it were nothing, though. "We didn't bring any damn food.." he hissed through gritted teeth.
"I'll just paint some up!" Adeleine smiled.

The 18 of them relaxed on the grass as they requested food from Adeleine. It tasted surprisingly wonderful considering it had literally came from a canvas.
Thanking Adeleine for the food, they got up and continued on with the journey. In the distance, they saw a familiar puffball atop of a cliff. Waving at him, Kirby yelled his greeting to him. Upon seeing their presence, he sent a Sword Beam their way, which knocked a boulder off the cliff. Nobody was hurt but they hardly managed to scramble out of the way in time. Groaning, he spread his wings and flew closer to them. Stepping forward, Galacta Knight offered a duel to which he accepted almost instantly.

They got into their beginning stances as the dust settled at their feet. The wind had piped down to a deathly whistle as the sky had bleached itself clear of clouds. The sun bounded off of their weapons and they began to fight. Charging forward, Meta Knight thrusted Galaxia forward as Galacta Knight blocked. He lifted his lance with such force that he sent his opponent backwards. Dragging his feet, Meta Knight made sure he didn't fall down as the force shoved him back. Taking a hop backwards, Meta Knight made sure he was properly balanced before he attacked next. Galacta Knight sent a sword beam forward and performed a sword spin which hit Meta Knight badly, but he was determined not to lose. Then, the Jamba Heart decided to take full control. Now, his eyes illuminated a sinister purple and a menacing aura hung around him. Dust had started to scatter and the battlefield grew murky and barren yet so blinding. Waving his weapon around, Galacta Knight cleared the air in front of him. Gripping Galaxia with both hands, Meta Knight managed to duplicate himself. Now, with four Meta Knight to battle, it was a much harder battle. The original Meta Knight made boulders levitate and then threw them so they stacked on the battlefield. Then, he made each of his clones stab their sword through the stack. Seeing this as an opportunity, Galacta Knight went ahead and destroyed the boulders, which meant when the clones struck, they would get their sword stuck in the floor. And, that's what happened. Each clone got their sword stuck and Galacta Knight manage to lay a few blows on each one. Knowing the vessel that it was piloting was weak, the Jamba Heart left and flew off. Weak, Meta Knight stood with Galaxia stabbed into the floor. Accidentally, his mask broke and revealed his face. Of course, they were a hefty distance away from Castle Dedede.  Sighing, he turned to Galacta Knight with a sorrowful expression. Without warning, Galacta Knight threw his arms around Meta Knight and held him tightly. "Never do that again, you scared me too much." He sobbed, with a smile.
Tears welled up in the corners of his own eyes, he had never meant to hurt anyone at all. The Jamba Heart possession was an awful experience for both of them.

Morpho Knight watched them, longing for a relationship like that one day. Dark Meta Knight lightly kissed him on his cheek.
"Isn't that gay?" Morpho Knight awkwardly stated.
"No homo. Why can't we normalize kissing the homies?" He complained.
Smirking, Morpho Knight laughed.
"You're so funny, Dark Meta Knight." Morpho laughed.
Blushing, he tried his best to act cocky. "Well yeah, I am a comedian. " He bragged, sounding egotistical.
(Y/n), Adeleine and Maddie stared at them. "That...was completely random." Maddie whispered to the others. Both of them nodded.
Susie pointed to the Jamba heart as it made it's great escape with nobody to give chase. "Well, we should be heading to wherever it's going." Susie advised.
Carefully, Rick tossed Kirby onto his back.
Kine gave a sigh as he set off back to Cappy Town. "I want to see my Tiff." He said, all flustered.
Nobody bothered to stop him as he began his journey back to Cappy Town. "I'll go back as well to ensure he gets back safely." Coo nodded, giving a comforting smile.
So, with two members of the party retreating, this left 14 of them left. The Knight Bois lead the way. Mounting Rick, Kirby rode on his Allie's back with Becca by his side. Maddie walked with (Y/n) and Susie, as they spoke about the Jamba Hearts and what it would be like to be possessed. Dedede cowered behind Escargoon and Bandana Waddle Dee. Adeleine flew with Ribbon holding her. Bouncing in the middle of the group, Gooey just playfully trailed along.

(Y/n) just quietly thought to themselves,

"Yeah, I wonder what it would be like to be possessed.."
