Away in Dreamland (Kirby fanfiction)

The carnival

Becca was the first to talk. "Una fiesta! Me encanta las fiestas!" 
Most of them looked at her confused, what the hell was she even saying? They knew she was speaking Spanish but they had no idea what she had said. Of course, Meta Knight knew. "Why'd you say that for?" (Y/n) questioned her.
"I've read one too many Kirby fanfictions. Usually, Meta Knight can't stick to one language in them and ends up speaking partially Spanish in every sentence, lol!" She laughed.
Unamused, Meta Knight glared at her with a rather intimidating look. "Chill out, don't be such douche bags! Si, mi hermana es estúpido." She teased.
Laughing with her sister, Becca said something else. "Encanta mi estúpido hermana." She teased.
"Aww, mi odio con pasión!" Maddie laughed.
"Please stop speaking Spanish, you're talking too fast and Google translate is crashing." Kirby whined.
"What were you even saying?" (Y/n) asked them, with genuine curiosity.
"Oh, she said 'My sister is stupid' then I said I love my stupid sister and then she said she hates herself with a passion." Becca explained.
"Oh, are you multilingual? I'm a monolingual, cause I never learned how to speak another language." Galacta Knight embarrassedly asked him.
"Si, mi amor." Meta Knight confirmed, holding Galacta Knight's hand.
"Oh..that's cool. Maybe I could learn off you?" He shyly proposed.
"I suppose I could teach you. I'd love to, to be honest." He accepted.
"Well, are we going to do anything? Or will we stand here and chit chat all day?" Dedede passive-agressively snarled.
Lollie and Lillith approached them and they kept their distance after what had happened last time. "Welcome, welcome. Would you like to go on a ride? These rides are insanely fast paced and will make your heart rush at speeds you never knew it could." Lollie advertised.
"If you don't want to ride on of our rides, then go ahead and maybe get a snack or play a game or two. Don't be shy, now." Lillith offered, a more sinister tone in her voice.
Naively, (Y/n) went up to a ride and got on, followed by Kirby and then the others. "Have a nice ride.." Lollie waved them off as the ride started.
They weren't wrong, the ride went so fast that their surroundings blurred around them. When it was done, Dedede almost threw up. The whole time, Galacta Knight cuddled with Meta Knight.
"Did you enjoy it?" Lillith asked them.
In a cheery tone, (Y/n), Kirby and Morpho Knight all said yes. "Hey, what other ride do you want to go on?" Morpho Knight asked them.
"Any, they all look pretty cool." Kirby cheered optimistically.
Leading (Y/n) and Kirby by the hand, Morpho Knight took them to another ride. "Morpho, what the hell? We can't trust them!" Dedede shouted over.
"Even if we can't trust them, we should still try having a good time." He told him.
"Hey, Morpho Knight is right. Everything was fine last time until the show so maybe we should have a good time here and leave when the show starts." Galacta Knight stated.
Nodding their heads, they agreed to have a good time there until the show started. Meta Knight and Galacta Knight  joined them on the rollercoaster they were about to go on.
Dedede and Escargoon went to go get a hotdog with Becca. That left just Maddie and Dark Meta Knight. "So, what do you think of this place? I think it's kinda awesome." Maddie smirked, trying to make small talk.
"Yeah, I guess it's pretty cool. Look, I get that you want to be my friend but I don't need any." He mumbled.
All Maddie wanted to do was make the grey scaled Knight feel welcomed into Cappy Town. At first, she tried to befriend him but it looked to be backfiring. "Listen here you little shit-" Maddie started,"I'm just tryna help you. All that friendship crap is nothing, I just wanna help you cause it's obvious you're hurting. I really hate the mushy shit but are you okay? You can talk to me about it..."
Kneeling down to his level, she looked him in his eyes and carressed the side of his mask with her right hand. "Look, I'm here for you. I'll be your mate if you want me to."
Holding her hand in his own, Dark Meta Knight exhaled and tried his best to talk."L..look..the reason I push people away is because I'm...scared. I'm scared of letting people in only to be hurt again..or to lose them again.." he confessed. "It hurts.."
Pulling him into a warm embrace, she whispered,"I'll always be here for you, Metty."

When the show finally begins..

(Y/n) had persuaded them to go watch the it. Seated inside the large tent, they warily looked in front of them, waiting for the show to begin. "I know it sounds stupid, but I doubt anything bad will happen this time around." (Y/n) said, perking up in their seat.
"Well, we hope so but we can't be sure." Galacta Knight muttered, leaning forward in his seat.
The show began and ,like before, it was fairly normal. Nothing bad happened at all during the show, but last time it happened after the show.

As a repeat of last time, they asked the Star Warriors to stay behind. Cautiously, they looked around for any traps or hazards of any sort but none to be found. "Look, that's not necessary. Last time, we called you over to lure you in. Now, we just want to apologise. We did that against our will by the command of Susie Haltmann. We've been big fans of you for forever and were deeply upset when we found out you were our targets." Lollie apologies.
"We're all terribly sorry. We hope our carnival can make up for it." Lillith added.
"It's fine, you guys were great!" (Y/n) complimented, earning an optimistic reaction from the clowns.
"Aww, thank you!" Lollie thanked, putting her hands over her heart.
A girl came across with a large and heavy mallet. "Yo, it's those star warriors. Huge fan by the way." Grace chimed in.

After they had finished talking, they left for home with new memories made and new friends.
