Just a quickie, I have started another book called away in Memeland, a bit of a piss take of this story. Tbh it's pretty funny and just all light-hearted fun.

Also, this story is getting close to 1k and I can not be any happier than I am, so thanks for sticking along.

Anyway.

The monarch slumped grouchily on his throne, gritting his teeth in anguish. It was all going so smoothly until the reversal spell had been cast. How his heart ached without the comforting presence of his Head Knight. Maybe it was the spell's fault that it had backfired, maybe he should start their relationship the natural way. Y'know, dates and gifts and other things that cost money.

Money..maybe that was the thing that made their relationship faulty. True, a gift could come from the heart but it still has a price tag. Compliments and such didn't have price tags, they were free but apparently meant so much.

Calling through, he commanded that Becca came through to talk with him about dating. However, when he asked for her to, she scoffed at him. "What would I know about dating?"

With that, the girl left, still laughing at his request.

A meek maid popped her head around the corner and stepped forward. "I..I could teach you.."

Her voice sounded quite nervous, yet adorable. The maid was Trixie, Nature Guardian. With a quick chant, she made a rose appear and handed it to him.

Confusedly, he took it up in his right hand and felt the thorn pierce his skin. "Uah!" He shouted in reflex, dropping the rose.

As it fell, the petals left the flower and scattered themselves along the floor. "A rose is a signature flower of romance, usually red ones. Perhaps it's their colour, perhaps it's their scent; I'm not so certain yet."

Looking him in the eyes, she asked him a question or two,"How much do you truly love him, how much does he make your heart ache when he's not by your side, how much does he make you feel when your around him?"

The bashful monarch couldn't speak, the words got stuck in his throat. How much he wanted to say, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. He felt as if he choked on the words as he said them, crying all the while,"I love him! I love him with all of my crummy and rotten little heart! I don't want him to ever leave me, ever!"

Just as he cried out, Galacta Knight and (Y/n) happened to be passing by, overhearing his desperation.

The two being as cunning as they are stuck around to see what would happen.

The mage continued to explain love to the desperate king," Love isn't something artificial, if it is forced then it isn't genuine. Only if you know that he is the one for you, then this will work." She murmured, almost making eye contact with the younger puffball, unaware they were in the room.

His view fell to the floor, how would he know what love is? All he's done is torment the people of Cappy Town and more than likely driven him away, far away. "That's not the problem.." he started, being interrupted by Trixie.
"Well, it might be and you might be blind to it." She chimed in.
"THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM, GIRLIE! THE PROBLEM IS HE DOESN'T LIKE ME BACK YOU PATHETIC HUMAN!" He snapped, making her jump in surprise.

When he realized what he had done, he mumbled his apologies as she noticed what the problem was.
"Your temper is as short as Kirby is, that's a problem. Not everyone finds an active volcano as a very good partner."
She advised him, telling him to tone down his temper.

He did as she told him and toned his voice down by a few notches. Now the conversation was more pleasant.

The two puffballs that were spying were interrupted by a very shy sounding maid. "...h-hi Sir Galacta Knight.." she anxiously greeted, poking her index fingers together.
"Hello..uh..which maid are you again?" He questioned, a bit embarrassed he'd forgotten her name.
"Oh, it's Mollie. Now, I have something I need to tell you.." she sounded very imperative with her sentence.

He gestured he was busy but she grabbed him by the hand and dragged him into a small cupboard, (Y/n) giving close chase. "Look, I don't have time to explain so I'll say what I can. We've already checked this with everything we can and it is true. Dedede will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants, and in this case it's bad for you. If you don't act fast, you'll face consequences. He will work with Susie to get what he wants and it's not good on your behalf." She explained, stroking his right wing.
"How is this bad for me? Meta Knight won't just switch for him, will he?" He gave a confident smirk, which died down when he saw her stern expression.
"He doesn't want to get Meta Knight, he wants you." She whispered, putting her index finger where his heart was.
"He wants me? He's clearly on about Meta Knight though!" He corrected her.
"Yeah, and you are the obstacle in his way. If you want to come out of this alive, then get acting fast." She muttered, staring at the door.

(Y/n) looked up at her in disbelief as she sat there on the crate, looking down on them. "Looks like you already have a little helper." She smirked, winking.  "I'd best be on my way now, so it doesn't look suspicious. If anyone asks, just say I showed you a neat, elemental trick."

With that, she burst into flames and disappeared.

"... Dedede, that's horrendous! You have no right to do that, what did Meta Knight do to you..?" Susie's discontent voice sounded through the screen.
"Says she who mechanized him before she even knew him!" Dedede fought back,"Do it or else you will never come through this portal again and you will never see your friends!"
"I can't just mechanize his loved one! That's beyond just cruel, it's a horrendous experience. Now that I've actually gotten to know him, I believe I can't bring myself to harm him!" Susie cried, fighting back tears of sorrow.

Galacta Knight felt proud to know that maybe there were some people out there who liked him. Squeezing his hand, (Y/n) looked at him and gave a smile, filled with optimism. He returned the favour, even if his eyes were the only part of his face that showed it.

"Look, I'll never do that. Get over yourself, Dedede. I can't believe I was your friend.." she sighed, shutting off the screen, leaving Dedede to his emptiness.

Raising his fist, he swore that he would beat Galacta Knight to oblivion.
