HOW I CAME UP WITH THIS BOOK :
after watching dozens of movies related to company life with heir, heiress and etc ( aka dramatic fam life ) i finally had the urge to start up my own book with the wholesome concept cuz JAY AS A SON OF A CEO sounds so tempting to write 😀 like i'm not even kidding when i say that i swerved to that mf a lot while writing this book.
STORY'S INSPIRATION BY :
ok THE MOST INTERESTING PART ??? which some of y'all might've been curious of 🤔 Where did the inspiration originally came from you ask? NORMALLY FOR MY TINYASS BRAIN, I cannot gather such inspirational ideas out of my imagination at all but I REALLY REALLY convinced myself to like go for this paranormal curse idea I used to have since I was 11 XD And I was like " okay, damn jay as a badass playboy and a sadistic character who can't smile might work out. " BUT Y'ALL ACTUALLY LIKED THIS CRINGEY BOOK???😭😭😭 I've watched dozens of messed up inheritors' lives but if y'all really wanna watch a similar drama to this SMILE book, I recommend ' Nee Sanaeha( หนี้เสน่หา ) ' & ' HIDE AND SEEK ( paranormal curses included ) ' it's really cool altho there ain't such paranormal curses included in it BUT I'm a simp for strong female leads :3

EXPLANATION :
I know that it's quite unbelievable but after some watching some youtube vids, i came across the fact that some paranormal disabilities do exist in real life 😀 .
And in this story, Mijoo's mother Kang Mina actually paid her sister to put on a curse on Mijin when she got kidnapped as a child so that she wouldn't be able to come back and retake the spot of DIF's heiress since some people can be greedy + nasty when it comes to inheriting legacy (especially from huge companies) so yuh. So the kid's cursed to live under the paranormal curse starting at the age of 16 and she never got to know the true story behind it.
The reason why Jaemin's family(Mijin's aunt and uncle) adopted her because they saw her aftermath of being kidnapped by her stepmother who wanted Mijoo to inherit instead of Mijin, in a forest. They never got to see their niece because Mijin's biological father's really secretive about his family.
In Chapter 095, Mijin's stepmother Mina was planning to meet up with her sister, the one who cursed Mijin to receive a curse at 16, but her plans got destroyed when her husband locked her up in the house. They already removed Mijin's curse because they're going to kill her themselves and if they're unfortunate, the curse could harm them so they decided to remove it first. That's why Mijin's curse didn't work anymore at Chapter 090.
Jay remembered Mijin in the epilogue again cause their soulmate bond was still working since Mijin still loved him although he didn't remember her anymore, which actually caused him to regain the flashbacks immediately when she "smiled" for the last time in front of him because he's the only one who her smile curse wouldn't work on in the first place. But this time, the curse worked in an effective way, not negative although her curse was lifted.
