I step out in Max's old New York hoddie and my gray sweatpants and sneakers. Noah is waiting for me like he said. He smells me because as soon as I step outside, he lifts his head from his phone.

“Ready? Let's go then” he says and rounds the car.
“Wait!” I call out.
He lets go of the car door and looks at me.
“What's wrong?”.
I stroke my hair as it keeps flying in the wind.
“I wanna drive myself” I let out.
He steps away from the car and hands me the keys.
“The luggage you had with you is it the car. Drive safe”.
I eye him suspiciously before plucking the keys out of his hands. He nods and turns away.
“Wait!” I call out again.
He stops and turns.
“What's wrong?” he asks again in the same tone.
What is he doing?!
“I don't trust you. It could be a trap” I tell him. “So you drive”.
He nods.
“As you wish” he says and walks back to me.
He lifts his hand and I step back. Noah arches a brow at me.
“I was just going to ask for the keys” he says.
Keys... right!
“I knew that” I say and drop them in his hands.
“Thank you” he says and just stands there, looking at me.
“What?” I ask, subconsciously running a hand through my hair.
“It still fits” he says.
“What?” I ask again.
“The clothes... it still fits” he repeats. “I couldn't find your Nike's so I just packed your Jordan's... and I'm glad they fit too”.
I just stare at him, confused. Then he clears his throat.
“Shall we?” he asks, turning to hold the door open for me.
“No, no. I got it” I say.
“Okay” he nods and gets in the car.
The ride to the airport is quiet.
“Do you mind if I turn on the radio?” he asks me.
I shrug.
“It's your car” I reply.
He doesn't respond, neither does he turn on the radio. I watch him but his eyes are fixed on the road.
