☆Alexis' POV
I get down from the Uber and wait for the driver to move along before walking towards the party.
"Invitation" a big man asks.
Oh they weren't joking about the invitation thing.
"Sir I don't mean to be rude but who asks for an invitation to allow someone in a Field Party?" I ask. "I mean it's a a field party; massive bonfires, huge crowds, overpopulation, a high risk of getting STDs...".
"Invitation" he repeats.
"Oh c'mon! I didn't just give you a speech to be...".
"Invitation".
"Well my invitation is inside".
"I just saw you get out of an Uber miss".
"And I see that this party doesn't need a bouncer. So if you'll just let me through..."
The man holds me back.
"I'm going to have to call your parents miss. You're clearly underage and drunk".
"Why does everyone think I'm drunk when I'm being serious?!".
"Blake, take my spot" he tells another big man. "You're coming with me".
"No, no, no...".
"She's with me Junior" a boy said.
"Are you sure?".
"Yes dude. I asked her to come. That's why she doesn't have an invite".
Junior eyes me for a minute before letting me go.
"My apologies miss" he says.
I nod and quickly follow the boy inside. I look behind me when I stop at a bar.
"Don't worry; he won't come in here" the boy from earlier says.
I whirl my head and nod at him, pushing a strand of hair off my face.
"Thank you" I tell him.
"It's cool. And I apologize on behalf of Kylo. He didn't give you an invite".
Oh great... he works for the devil!
I shake my head.
"Silly Kylo" I chuckle. "I'm sure he forgot".
The boy looks at me intensely.
"Yeah I'm sure...".
I fiddle with the hem of my sleeve.
"I'm Troy by the way" he introduces.
"Alex...".
"...andra Graham yeah I know" he finishes. “You're kinda popular around there parts”
I chuckle lightly.
"Drink?" he asks and snaps his finger. "Ben! Gin and tonic on rocks for me and the for the lady...".
He smiles at me.
"What would you like?".
Okay. So as soon as he asked me that, it hit me that this was my first time at a party that didn't have kool-aid.
Oh I'm so not ready!
"Water" I blurt.
Troy frowns but quickly changes his expression.
"Doctor's orders" I lie and smile through through my teeth.
"Yeah of course" he says. "Ben? I will be right back".
