One Direction Sickfics

This is a bit different from the usual lovelies but I hope you'll like it just the same. The request was more detailed than a lot and really it's more an AU kind of thing but hey, it's got the usual elements to it so of course I'm writing it for my lovely reader who requested it!

"And who might be next on my waiting list?" Harry tutted in false unknowingness and he rounded the corner and entered the view of the waiting room. Loud cheers of 'Dad!" Shot off instantaneously, seeming to bounce off the walls. A series of thunderous footsteps followed and within moments two short people collided with Harry's legs, their necks craned to show him two sets of pearly whites and sparkling green eyes.
Harry mouthed a quick thanks to his mum as she sat down and placed her bag on the floor by her feet. She'd been a proper lifesaver, picking the twins up from daycare and bringing them to the dentist office in time for their check ups before things closed up. Both him and Sofia had been stuck in appointments that had run over time.
She smiled back and plucked a magazine from the shelf as Harry shuffled over with one kid attached to each leg, giggling hysterically.
"Mum's just cleaning up and then it'll be one of you Rugrats turn. Who's going first?" Harry questioned. Vicky and Mati met eyes for a moment and then both of their arms shot up into the air, Mati's hardly a millisecond behind, "I will!"
Harry wished all the kids who came to the dentist were as eager as his two little ones. It was only their first visit to the dentist though, they didn't know what they were in for. Paediatrics wasn't his field so thankfully he didn't have to deal with the fearful screaming and crying, or kicking and flailing, but he did immensely pity his hard working wife sometimes while he listened to the wailing down the hall. Sofia was incredible at her job though, she handled the children amazingly well.

Harry's mum took Mati's little hand in hers and lifted him up onto the seat next to hers, "let your sister go first Darl."
Mati sighed, disappointed, but nodded in compliance anyway, "ladies first."
Vicky smiled widely and kissed her brother's cheek sweetly, "thanks Mat!"

Soon Sofia's last patient walked out with her mum to pay at the reception. The little girl's face was splotchy and red but she was wearing a cheerful smile and appeared happy enough, the miracle of Sofia Styles everyone. Sofia earned a welcoming just as exciting as Harry had when she came into view and once everything had calmed down Harry and Sofia each took a hand of Vicky's and went off for her checkup.

It was quick, painless, and easy. Sofia did a lot of the dental work as being three years old obviously classified Vicky as a child, toddler, whatever floats your boat, while Harry chatted to Vicky and teased his wife. Maybe it was a little useless him being there at all but it was probably better for the twins anyway. He didn't mind observing and offering his opinion whenever it felt necessary.
After no more than ten minutes Sofia removed her gloves with a snapping sound and pushed a button that made the dental chair elevate. Vicky squealed and laughed and it was contagious.
"So how was that Vicky?" Sofia stood close as her little girl wormed her way onto her feet. The seat was a little high, she was only being cautious. It would only be typical of one of her clumsy, uncoordinated children to trip and hurt themselves.
Vicky pursed her lips thoughtfully and clicked her tongue as they started back toward the waiting room, "good! We're my teeth good?"
"They're beautiful Sweetheart, nice and clean," Harry replied.

Mati leaped to his feet the moment he saw his family, "my turn?"
Harry's mum chuckled and patted his bum, "go ahead Darl."

So Mati took Vicky's place between his parents and off they went for a second time round, Harry could only hope it went as smoothly. There were plenty of things that could go wrong even though Mati's teeth looked perfectly fine. Who knew what was going on further back in his tiny mouth.
