It was weird enough being in the room specifically designed for her by Tony. Well, he definitely had inspiration from her old room in the city. And it was replicated to the best of their abilities but there was still some things she knew Tony did for a reason.

One example, the table with the black light that was made specifically for their invisible ink letters. She almost didn't catch it at first until she accidentally turned it on while she was reading one of his notes.

'I know I promised you I would move on, and I've tried so hard to. But Pepper just told me she was pregnant and I couldn't help but think back to when you first showed up on my doorstep..."

She couldn't stop the tears from falling.

With every secret letter she read, the more the tears kept coming, the more it hurt.

She almost completely missed the doorbell when it rang. But she definitely didn't miss Morgan suddenly appearing at the door with a massive frown on her face.

"There's a mean woman at the door bothering mommy."

"What?"

Lennon immediately felt protective as she told Morgan to wait in her room, going to the living room where, surely enough, Pepper stood at the door blocking someone from coming in.

"Mom? What's going on?"

"I- nothing sweetie. Just go to your room."

"But who is at the door-"

"It's your mother!" The woman called out, even though Lennon couldn't exactly see her.

She wouldn't have believed her, after all her mother was standing right there at the door. But when the color drained from Pepper's face, she knew that couldn't have been a lie.

She quickly went to join Pepper, startled to see a woman who looked a lot like Lennon- or did Lennon look a lot like her?

"Hi, Lennon," she smiled, "I'm Rachel-"

"What are you doing here?"

"Well, I uh... I came to find you five years ago."

"Five years- so you survived the snap?"

"I did," she confirmed, "And I just wanted to see if my girl was okay-"

"Your girl?" Lennon couldn't help but scoff, "The one you abandoned on my dad's doorstep all those years ago?"

Rachel sighed, "I get that you're angry-"

"I'm not angry," she frowned, "I'm just confused. Why now?"

"After he told me we lost you... I... you're all I've been able to think about. All the regrets I've had, letting you go. I just... I want to get to know my daughter."

"You lost that chance years ago," Pepper glared at her, not being able to bite back her comment.

"I'm sorry. When did you get to decide that?"
