- So the dates were really hard to manage because season 2 is supposed to be taking place mid August, however, a week later when Eda's Orphans arrive in the human realm in the beginning of season 3, there is a time skip to October and it is said they've spent the at least a month of the summer together, along with September and most of October. I hope you understand that I did my best :)

Also, each chapter switch will be from a different persons pov. Their name will accompany the chapter name at the top of the chapter.

Happy reading!

-August 23rd-

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes sluggishly and glanced at the glowing red numbers on the clock that sat upon Luz's side table.

She had to get a new one last week, due to Amity and I accidentally destroying the last one when it started yelling.

One-zero-two glowed in a vicious red, as I adjusted my eyes to the dim light.

I yawned, scanning the room for a glass of water. After finding no water, I stood up and tiptoed downstairs and then down the hallway towards the kitchen.

I saw a light on in the bathroom and thought that one of the boys must be up too. I was just planning on walking past but a lock of familiar blonde hair on the floor caught my eye.

Hunter was the only one in the house with blonde hair.

Curiously, I opened the door to find just who I thought I would.

Hunter.

Crouched over the bathroom sink with scissors in his hand, his hair was strewn out in every direction so his hair looked like a birds nest. Maybe it was for Flapjack.

Hunter looked up with an alarmed look on his face, as if he had been caught doing something wrong or I was about to yell at him.

"Willow??" He combed through his uneven hair with his free hand nervously.

"Do you... Want some help?" I asked, gripping the door and taking a step towards him.

I looked down at the floor. He had obviously cut it in a rush. Flapjack was nestled on the sink counter, seemingly unbothered by his friends distress.

Hunter nodded sheepishly, avoiding my gaze and turning red from what I can only imagine was pure embarrassment.

I took the scissors from him, and he sat down on the toilet lid, rubbing his arm with one hand.

"Don't worry, I know how to cut hair." I assured him as I took a strand of messily cut hair in my hand.

He just nodded.

"What made you cut your hair?" I asked, taking some hair between my fingers and cutting it evenly, blonde hair falling onto the ground.

"Well I... I uh." He bit his lip and looked down

I gave him a sympathetic smile.

"I thought that... with it long, I looked too much like... Philip and.." His voice hushed. "Belos." He made a gesture with his hands and I rubbed the top of his head a little bit.

I was surprised he even decided to open up to me a little bit. I think Luz was the only person he had really talked to about Belos.

It almost felt like an honor to be a person he trusted with that.

"It's alright. I don't know about you, but I think I prefer your hair short anyway." I replied with a wink.

He looked up at me for a second, then turned his face away, holding the back of his neck nervously.

"Yeah. Me too.." He mumbled.

It took me a while, but finally, I got his hair cut decently.

He had really done a number on his poor hair. It was obvious he hadn't been the one cutting his hair in the coven.

I was guessing Raine probably did.

He stood up and looked in the mirror, a small side smile, slipping over his face.

"Thanks Willow." He said, messing with a straying strand of hair.

"Anytime."

He started to walk away but I grabbed him by the shoulder and wrapped him in a tight hug.

"You are nothing like Belos." I said. "And you never will be. You are Hunter. You are loyal, strong, funny..." I reached up and ruffled his hair. "And handsome. Long hair, or short."

Did I really just say that??

I think I saw his eye start to water as he looked down at me, excepting the hug, and letting his arms fall around me too.

"Thanks Willow." He said with a sniffle.

I let go and created a spell circle, a broom coming to me from the kitchen. I grabbed it from the air and handed it to him with a smile.

"I'm glad. You do have to clean all your hair up though." I said, walking out of the bathroom.

I seemed to have forgotten what I came downstairs for in the first place. The numbers on the stove glowed one-three-six.

Oh yeah. Water.

I stepped on the tips of my toes, reaching up to grab a glass from a cabinet. I hit the glass with my finger tips, knocking it gently. It teetered for a moment, then fell off the cabinet.

Luckily, I managed to catch it before it hit the floor. I watched Hunter walk out of the bathroom, Flapjack perched on his shoulder, as I crouched on the ground, holding the glass firmly in my hand.

"I know, I like it too." Hunter said, running his hand over his head a couple times. "I don't know what I would've done if she wasn't down here." He continued.

Flapjack chirped, hopping up and down on his shoulder a few times. "Yeah. She's a good friend."

I dropped the glass and despite being so close to the floor already, it landed with a startling clang. I winced at the sound and in the blink of an eye, Flapjack turned into a staff and Hunter teleported across the room, using his staff to push me over.

We made eye contact and he stumbled backwards. "Ah! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I thought you went back upstairs!"

I exhaled, trying to calm my rapidly beating heart, startled by Hunters sudden ambush.

He glanced at the glass on the floor and reached down and picked it up, handing it to me. My hand brushed his as I took it from him.

I turned towards the sink to fill the glass up without another word.

"Its okay. I can't blame you for being cautious, after everything we've been through."

Flapjack turned back into palicmen form and nuzzled on top on Hunters head. I wondered if it was still as comfortable for him without all the hair.

I sipped the water, leaning back onto the counter. Clover came buzzing around the corner and I scratched under her chin.

She glanced at Flapjack and sat herself on top of my head.

Oh no she's picking up on Flaps habits.

Hunter and I giggled, and I couldn't help but admire his goofy smile.

After a second, Clover buzzed in my ear and turned into a staff. Hunter gave me a curious look.

I smoothed part of the staff over with my thumb, looking out the window.

"Hah... She wants to go on a night fly. We do that sometimes when I wake up in the night. But usually we go on cloudy nights."

"But it's clear tonight?" Hunter asked, looking out the window too.

I sighed. "Well, she's dead set on it and I'm not going to bed soon." I shrugged. "You and Flap wanna come with us?"

Flapjack chirped and turned into a staff too. "I think that's a yes." Hunter said.
