- I really don't have a lot to say, everything was mostly explained in the end of the last update. I'm also changing the chapter names so sorry if that confuses you. I'm not sure how long this chapter will be but happy reading :) -

I surfaced, gasping in air. I'm glad I took off my glasses before getting in, everything just sank to the bottom of the unsettlingly disgusting pool.

I smiled. Gus, Luz, Amity, Vee. If you told me a year ago I would be in the human realm with these people and I would be confident and liked? I think I would've laughed in your face.

But something was missing. Hunter.

I looked back at the spot I saw him last and he was still there. Except, there was a girl sitting next to him. She was chattering away about something and he was just smiling up at the sun. That was cute.

Wait.

I take it back. It wasn't cute. It wasn't even remotely endearing.

He looked down and said something to the girl, and she laughed like it was the funniest thing ever.

I was hit with the smallest twinge of jealousy. But I hated jealousy, I hated feeling jealous. I was raised to be kind and humble. Jealousy shouldn't be a word in my vocabulary.

But I couldn't help it.

"Willow!" Luz swam up to me. She followed my gaze and narrowed her eyes at me.

"What are you looking at?~" She asked curiously.

"Erm, I-" I looked away and tried to shove her away but she looked over my shoulder anyway.

"OH! I see what's going on.." She said smugly.

"What? Nothing's going on! I-I'm not looking at anything."

"You're looking at the snack shack!" She exclaimed. There was a small building behind Hunter and the girl, and in big words on the wall it said "Snack Shack". I sighed with relief.

"I'm super hungry. I have some money stashed in my phone case, let's gather everyone and get some grub!" She said happily.

We all got out of the pool and walked over to the building. While everyone else looked at the food options I went over to Hunter.

I leaned over and smiled at him. "Hey, we're getting food. You want some?" I asked, gesturing towards the building.

Before he said anything the girl started talking. "Eh- do you know her?" she asked Hunter.

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm Willow! Huntersss... friend." I held out my hand to her and she just looked at it. I let it fall to my side awkwardly. What was her issue?

Hunter stood up and brushed himself off. "Yeah, lets go." He said. We walked off towards the others and he sighed. "She was tiring." He said.

I laughed a bit. I was almost glad he thought so. "Why's that?" I asked.

"She just kept asking me weird questions. Like if I was single. Do I look like I'm more than one person?" He shrugged and peeked at the food menu on the wall. "Do they have pancakes here? Those were really good."

I covered my face with my hand. "Oh my titan Hunter, she wasn't asking you if you were one person."

He gave me and odd look, like what I was saying was completely new information to him.

I took a breath in. "She was asking you if you were dating anyone."

The look didn't change. I pointed at Luz and Amity who were now sharing a purple slushie. "Like them. Someone you love romantically. And want to spend your time with."
