 Lol Happy reading :)  -

I ran my fingers over the scars on my hands nervously.

Willow looked over to me, noticing and placed her hand over mine. She knew just how to comfort people with the smallest gestures. She pulled herself closer to me and rested her head on my shoulder.

I tipped my head over just a bit, setting it on hers, so we were kind of leaning on each other.

We were waiting at a table in the cafeteria / the New Hexide Market with everyone else. We were all going to decide how to get to the collector, and try to save everyone.

Skara, Viney and Mattholomule explained everything about the collector, and the collectors scouts. About how all the adults in Hexide had been turned into.. puppets.

It had been so long since I had been in the boiling isles, or thought of fighting an immortal, god child. But he had never thought of fighting an immortal god child. Today was a first.

The last day he was on the boiling isles, his last moments, memories. Were of Belos.

But I was with my friends now. My family

And I was fine. I was okay now.

I looked down at Willows hand, sat right on my hands, her holding me reassuringly. I was okay now.

"Okay!" Skara said, clapping her hands together to get everyone's attention. "If anyone here likes planning and strategics, is me. So let's get started!"

Mattholomule raised his hand, but didn't wait to simply be called on to speak. "I like planning."

"Shut up Matt." Skara waved her hand dismissively in his direction.

Willow chuckled next to me, and I smiled. Anything she found endearing, my favorite thing was her smile and laugh. I could probably listen to her laugh for hours.

Luz once told me that about Amity. That she found Amity's laughter to be a wonderous, yet contagious sound that always made her heart race. The funny thing is, I never minded listening to Luz go on about Amity; she could probably go on about her for years and never get tired.

And I would listen for that long if it made her happy.

I glanced at Luz across the table, who was holding Amity's hand tightly. The two of them sat silently, but content together.

Compared to Gus and Matt who sat across the table from each other, whispering among themselves.

I could see it now. Gus and Matt. It was a little weird, and I knew I would snap Matt in half if he ever tried to harm Gus in any way, shape, or form but I could see it at the very least.

I stared daggers at Mattholomule. Gus was basically my little brother. Scratch that. Gus was my little brother, and I loved him. Luz called it 'older brother instincts'. So I guess I could connect my random dislike of Mattholomule with my older brother instincts.

Mattholomule noticed me glaring at him, and reeled back, the look on his face twisting into an uncomfortable, worried look. He reached over the table and tapped Gus's hand, then gestured to me, saying something.

Gus looked over and started laughing quietly. Then they started whispering and talking again.

I examined the smiled on Gus's face. That was because of Mattholomule. I guessed I could live with them being together.

I tore my glance away from the two of them and back to Skara, who began scolding Matt and Gus for not paying attention.

"So the collector only comes out of his floating, castle, palace thing when he has a game to play, but his scouts are always out. They're mindless machines, not even the adults of Hexide could stop them." Skara explained.

Willow fidgeted a bit. "What does, when he's found a game to play mean?" She asked, still gripping my hand firmly.

I had that same question.

"Erm, it's hard to explain." Viney said, holding Miso in her lap.

"Well try anyway." Willow pressed.

Viney scratched her chin and thought for a moment. "Well, he's like a little kid. I mean, not like, he is a little kid. But he turns people into puppets at will, and.. he creates this...town, of his own design that runs exactly how he wants it to, when he wants it to."

"Who does he all have?" Gus asked.

"Everyone." Skara replied, sadly. "He has all the coven heads,"

Darius. I thought. I needed Darius to be okay.

"Eda the Owl Lady,"

Luz inhaled sharply, her brow furrowing in some form frustration.

"Coven scouts, and guards."

Mattholomule looked down. His older brother was still a coven guard. I knew him.

"And pretty much everyone who lives in Bonesburrow." Skara finished.

Willow turned her head away and sniffed. Her Dads. I knew how much she missed them. She hoped they would be okay while she was gone, and now she was finding out she had been turned into puppets. Play things for the collector.

I turned and kissed the top of her head, in hopes of comforting her. She smiled up at me. I wasn't used to romantic relationships but I do think it helped.

A screech from the speaker system echoed, before an incredibly irritating voice came over it.

"I need captains down here right now.

Mattholomule groaned and Skara menaced. Luz wiped her face and looked up at one of the speakers. "Is that Bocsha?"

Matt groaned again, and slammed his head against the table. Gus jumped, and looked worriedly at him.

When no one moved the loud speaker screeched again. "UH, now!!"

I didn't know her, but everyone seemed to really dislike Bocsha.
