On a happy note, I'm getting more comfortable with writing what I feel like writing without worrying about what other people think. (although ofc, I always have my readers in mind. I may be less self conscious with my writing but I'm still writing for others)

I probably would've stayed with Willow longer if I hadn't told Darius I'd be back around, half an hour ago. 

I was staying with him for the weekend again. He was usually pretty cool, but he still did worry about me. And that meant I didn't have to stay in the human realm during the weekend, when all of the weird human high school students were seen... out side of the school.

Disgusting. I just assumed they all lived there.

Anyways, here I was, sprinting away through the night so I could get home to be lectured by my pretty much half father.

I knew he loved me though so it was okay.

"And you're back almost forty minutes late.. why?" Darius asked, crossing his arms.

"Uhhhhh I hadd thingss to do." 

"Mhm, yes I'm sure you did, but were you so busy that you couldn't, oh I don't know. Open up PenstaGram and just send like a, "hey, I'm gonna be spending more time with my girlfriend could you not worry"? No?"

I got my scroll out and swiped onto Darius's contact.

hEy, Im going to be spending more time with my gf could you not worryY ?

He held back a smile and rolled his eyes. "Very funny. Did you at least have a good time?"

I decided not to tell him that I helped her sneak out to go to a flyer derby game at the hand when she lives closer to the ribs. 

"Uh yes." Is all I said. Genius idea Hunter, keep it vague.

I started to walk away when Darius used his abomination goo to wrap around my ankle and hold me upside down. It felt a bit humiliating.

 "I like that you're becoming your own man and that you have a girlfriend but I would also quite like if you weren't so vague."

Damn. My own genius was my own downfall.

"You don't need to know every detail of my life." I said, sticking my tongue out at him. 

He shook me back and fourth a few times.  "I can see that whole personality thing also gave you an attitude. You're lucky I'm in a good mood."

"Is it because Alador was overrrr?" I teased. 

Darius dropped me and I landed on my head. Ouch. I didn't need anymore falls tonight. My ankle still hurt from my daring, two story jump off Willow's balcony.

"How did you even know that??" 

"I know Amity remember?? She kind of hates me still but she still talks to me! She's always like, "Hey heads up, my dad just left; I think he's going over to Darius' place" so.. watch your back."

"That sounds so hilarious coming from you. I'd like to see you try to defeat me."

"Is that a dare?"

Darius let out a long sigh, but continued grinning. "Do you treat your human caretaker - what was her name? Kamala? Camila? Doesn't matter. Do you treat her this way?"
