Me time - Willow

- I realized I haven't written about Willow a lot, like I know I switch POVs between Hunter and Willow every 2 chapters but I never just write about Willow on her own.

I think it's cause I have a hard time writing about the demon realm, where Willow lives but it might be something else I'm just oblivious to. Idk.

So I need to do more of that.

happy reading : ) -

A morning in the Boiling Isles wouldn't exactly be called peaceful. By eight a.m there were already lively sounds and conversations that I could hear from my bedroom.

I didn't mind. Although I did like my quiet sometimes, a little eavesdrop in the morning isn't too bad.

Sometimes on nicer mornings, I even brush my teeth out on my balcony.

And on this particular morning, that's exactly what I did.

It wasn't a school day so usually I had something to do, like flyer derby practice or the gardening club. Actually, I hadn't been back to the Bonesborough gardening club since it had been robbed last year.

The robbers were never caught either. They stole some palistrom wood which was the most rare and precious thing the club had.

Sometimes I wonder where it is now.

A soft gust of wind blew through and swept through my hair. Usually it would blow my hair off my shoulders and up and about, but after my hair cut, it felt so good for the wind to sweep through just the bit of hair that fell over the back of my neck, my ears or my forehead.

I loved the feel of it, and how it felt so light on my head. Sometimes I did miss my braids but I liked my short cut better.

I leaned over and turned my head to one of the plants. "Hellooo little plant!" I said happily. After a few seconds of silence between me and this plant, I realized it was looking a little dry.

Walking back into my room, I set my toothbrush down and grabbed my mini watering can off my dresser and took it back outside.

"Sorry I haven't been around a lot to water you regularly!" I let out a small sigh as I tipped the watering can over into the pot. The soil glistened as the water filled in.

It got me thinking about how I really hadn't been around too much lately. I was always at school, hanging out with Gus or Hunter, going to Luz's band concerts, or practicing flyer derby.

Maybe I needed some of my own like, me time. That sounded pretty ideal.

So as soon as I had watered all of the plants out on my balcony, I went inside and watered all the plants in my room.

I plopped down onto my bed and stared at my ceiling. What sort of me time did I want today? What did I feel like doing for me?

Clover flew by and sat herself down next to me. I turned over and pet her on the top of her head gently. She buzzed happily. She nuzzled the side of my face and flapped her wings a few times.

Suddenly I sat up straight. I knew where I wanted to start with me time! This was easy.

I got up and walked to the bathroom, Clover following close behind me. I looked up and down my bathroom shelf, looking for something specific.

Then, I grabbed it and turned to the mirror. It was a mud mask that I had bought at the human market with Luz a few weeks prior. She had said that it was really good, and "recommended by dermatologists" whatever that meant.

Either way, it sounded good.

I started smoothing it over the skin on my face as Clover watched me carefully from the sink. I extended my arm and booped her, leaving a small dot of the face mask on her nose.
