Happy reading :) -

We had been walking for a while and we still hadn't reached Bonesburrow. The sun was going down and there were strange things flying in the sky that definitely weren't witches on staffs. They looked like stars. Large, navy blue stars.

I yawned. There was so much tension among the five of us, but I was glad we were all together. Me, Hunter, Gus, Amity and Luz.

The top of a building appeared on the horizon and we all exchanged hopeful glances.

But then we quickly realized that it was Hexide.

I used the last of my energy to run up to it. There was a box, a rock and a large wooden sign slumped over the door. The sign said "NO NON-PUPPETS INSIDE" in big, red capitol letters.

On the top of the sign, there was a doodle of something that looked like it was supposed to be the collector. There was an arrow pointing to it that said "love him"

The whole scene was eerie.

"Should we go inside?" I asked, pressing my hand against the large doors of the entrance.

Amity looked it up and down. "I think we should, just be prepared.." She said, Ghost transforming into a staff in her hands.

I knocked on the door and when no one answered I reached behind the sign and jiggled the door knob.

With a hearty push, the door creaked open. And I was not expecting what I saw. There were candles that filled the halls, vines hanging from ceilings, things everywhere. But strange enough, if looked as if people were living there.

My eyes fell over the people that stood in the hallway who stared back at me. They were all students at Hexide.

"WILLOW??" Skara and Viney came running up to me. Viney tackled me in a hug. It had been months since I last saw the rest of my team. They ushered everyone inside and shut the doors swiftly.

"Viney! Skara!" I yelled, hugging Viney back. Puddles, her griffin stood behind her patiently.

"Where on the isles have you been?!" Skara asked. I took a small step away and scratched my neck. "I.. I can't explain it all right now."

Viney shook her head and smiled. "Well you have to tell us later." She turned to Hunter and waved. "Have you all been in the same place this whole time?" She asked.

I glanced back at Hunter who joined us, giving a Viney and Skara a smile. "So? Any progress?" Skara asked, pointing between the Hunter and I.

Usually I would deny even knowing what she meant but I just reached over and gave him a tight side hug. "Kind of." I said.

"Kind of?" Viney asked, flipping her eyebrow up curiously.

"What are you talking about?" Hunter asked. He was so clueless it was cute.

I side smiled at him "You remember what happened on Friday?"

He thought for a second. I wondered if he was brain damaged from his jump into the portal.

"Oh!" He finally got it. He blushed a bright red. Viney and Skara looked extremely intrigued. The Hunter they would've known would've never gotten as flushed in front of anyone.

"What happened on Friday..?" Viney whispered under her breath.

Embarrassed now, I reached up and grabbed his face, kissing him, then letting go, turning to Viney and Skara like nothing happened.

"It's a little more complicated but that's what happened on Friday." I said, placing my hands on my hips confidently.

Hunter fell onto the floor with a thud. I looked down and giggled. "I'm sorry! I know you told me not to do that without warning!" I stretched my arm out to help him up.

As our teammates chattered to Hunter I looked over to Gus. He was searching around for someone. He would never have admitted it but I knew he was looking for Mattholomule.

The two of them had grown incredibly close, and I knew for a fact Gus wanted to be more than friends with him. He never wanted to tell anyone though.

Gus smiled the brightest, biggest smile and waved at someone around a corner.

In a flash, Matt came bounding down the hallway, and tackled him in the biggest hug I think I ever saw.

They were adorable.

I turned back to the others. "What are you all doing here?" I asked. I hadn't seen any teachers or adults.

"That's a long story too." Skara said nervously.

"Then we should both get talking shouldn't we?" I said.

- Kinda short, sorry :( I'll be writing Gus and Matt's portion at some point so I'll put it on my feed when I do. -
